Jessi's books seem to be quite unpopular and I can kind of agree. None of them were particularily memorable to me. However, I was just wondering which one you guys think is the best of the bunch.

Oooh, great thread!
My personal Jessi favorites were
Jessi's Baby-sitter - had many snark-worthy moments and I liked the science-fair subplot.
Happy Holidays, Jessi - quite informative about Kwanzaa and I loved seeing the Ramsey family interaction. Mr Ramsey was awesome. It was also cute how Squirt squealed "DOOS!" (or "juice") when Jessi came to visit him in hospital.
Ummm... other than that... can't say I liked them. Jessi and the Superbrat was probably the worst. That or Jessi's Wish.

I'm a life-long Jessi hater. She can do no right in my eyes.

Jessi's Big Break was my favourite of hers, because she actually went somewhere and did something without having Mallory to tag along. Least favourite was definetley Jessi's Baby Sitter.

Jessi's Big Break, Jessi and the Jewel Thieves, and Jessi's Baby-sitter.
You know, Jessi didn't get very many books, didn't she? There are what, around 10 of them? In a series with 213 books... Gosh.

probably jessi and the dance school phantom-i think it's the ONLY jessi book i've bothered to reread, besides jessi and the jewel thieves which i recently reread purely for snark purposes. i have bad memories of jessi's gold medal but maybe i'll check it out again. jessi and the awful secret was pretty alright too. boy, did she get the short end of the stick with plots.

I'd probably have to say Gold Medal as well since the only other Jessi books I have are Secret Language and Superbrat, so...yeah.

According to the Wikipedia list, she had 14 books out of 131 regular and 36 mysteries, so roughly 8 percent. If 7 sitters narrated the same number of books, which could effectively be explained by Abby narrating the books Dawn would have, since Dawn only had one book in the regular series after she moved to California permanently, each one would have about 18 regular books and 5 mysteries. Jessi had 13 regular books and one awful, horrible mystery.
My favorite out of them was probably Jessi's Horrible Prank -- although there are a few "Because I'm BLACK?!?!" moments, I thought the BSC Follies sounded cute.

Jessi's horrible prank is another one I like a lot too. It always satisfies, which is more than you can say for almost all other jessi books. Plus she's hanging out with more people than just bsc members. I would have liked to see more of sanjita and randy and all those kids.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. The BSC really should stay away from the "heavy" issues like eating disorders, but the book was enjoyable.
I didn't mind Jessi's Horrible Prank either (kinda forgot about it). It was pointless but not terrible.
Jessi was obnoxious in Jessi and the Bad Baby-sitter. And Kristy really bugged me in this book, so I find it difficult to label it a favorite.
