Yeah, it was only one chapter in one book. I would've liked to see it continued, because it sounded like fun. Maybe the Pike kids lost interest in it... Or maybe the writers forgot that it ever existed.

Probably the last I would've liked to hear more about the library, too

I had no idea that everybody was such fans of the Pike library. I agree that the Pikes would have been a lot of fun to be friends with. I just wouldn't have wanted to actually be a part of the family and have to take part in activities like talent show I just read about in Mallory and the Dream Horse.

The Pike library was quite a memorable scene. It was one activity that actually sounded like fun.

The talent show in Mallory and the Dream Horse wasn't that big a thing, was it? I remember Claire wanting to ride Noodle the mop-horse... The triplets weren't that involved with all the talent shows and plays and stuff, were they? They were older and busy with Little League, or something.

^The triplets weren't involved in the talent show in Mallory and the Dream Horse, but pretty much the rest of the Stoneybrook population under age 10 was. On the day of the show, Mal comments that every room of her house was filled with kids getting ready.

I wish my neighbourhood had talent shows.

^ I wish neighborhoods these days had half the wholesome kiddie activities that Stoneybrook had.

Man, those kids were creative. I can't believe the neighborhood kids went for the Pike library. I wonder if their books all got returned.

^ I guess because it was mainly close friends who borrowed the stuff - kids that lived on the same street and went to school with them every day - it would be hard to get away with not returning the stuff.

And they got fined if they didn't return the books!

I wonder if this is what prompted me to try to put "cards" in the back of some of my books.

^ I totally did that, too, and it WAS because of the Pikes. I never actually lent out any of my books, because I figured I wouldn't get them back.
