Big Break was good. Happy Holidays...problem was, it was all very negative stuff. I felt like there were no up points, everything was just down until the ending. I wish Jessi got at least one more book, though. She really got left out late in the series. Mallory's last book was eleven books after Jessi's last one (okay, I know Dawn's last one was #98, but she'd left the series and she got California Diaries).

I liked both and I like that we got to learn more about the Jessi and her family in the books. However, I do think that this was foreshadowing how Jessi didn't really belong with the BSC and her eventual leaving. Like, she gets closer to her dancer friends and even admits that she's not close to any of the girls after Mallory leaves in Stacey's Movie. I like that these books just shows her more as an individual away from the club.

I do wish the FF series did not have Jessi and Abby leave the club. I think Shannon and Logan didn't really fit in with the club, especially in later books, so when they left the club, it was no big deal to me and that was fine. I have my headcanon and in my fanfic where Jessi and Abby are still in the club and later Anna joins and later perhaps a couple of other girls join as associate members. In high school, the BSC is more likely to be involved in more activities, they are bound to have many more classmates and each are bound to make new friends in high school. So, they'd need to be able to rotate more members to accommodate everyone's schedules.
