On the other hand, there's Jordan, Adam and Byron. Oh but that's because they're all different people with such different personalities. From SS15, it seems that Jordan and Adam were named after an uncle and a grandfather. Byron...because they have British roots?? Anyway, OT.

Are the British roots the relationship to Shakespeare? I haven't read this SS - still trying to get my hands on it.

^Mallory's visiting british cousins. I forget if Mallory's mom immigrated at a very young age or Mallory's grandparents immigrated.

I know the girl twins in the series always have names that are alike - Myriah and Miranda (both M's) Schillaber , Marilyn and Carolyn. I dunno. I can't remember any other twins. Ugh. That always bugged me. And in Abby's Portrait in one chapter where they go to the mall, they meet some twins named Jean and Jan or something. I think Karen has twin classmates that are named Terri and Tammi. At least the Pike triplets had their own distinct sounding names.

About all (or most) of the twins in the series having 'matching' names -- I think that's pretty representative of real life. I have a twin sister named Kristen, my name is Kari. Pretty much all of the twins I've known had names that started with the same letter, if not rhymed. I think it's horrid! I always liked how the Pike triplets had non-matching names.

^ Hmmm . . . I didn't know that happened in real life. I thought it was just one of Ann's conventions.

I always liked the matching names! I thought Marilyn and Carolyn were awesome names, hehe.

I quite detest Abby in the other girls' books. I hate her puns, "wacky" behavior, and allergy-speak. I don't view her as a real BSC member. However, she's all right in her own books. I just read four of hers in a row. She's more serious in her own books and has some nice, deeper moments.
I don't feel like she's really friends with the BSC. She and Kristy are definitely friends, but her contact with the other girls seems rather minimal. She just doesn't seem to fit in with the group.

Abby was good with the kids on the Krushers, but that's about it. I don't remember it ever mentioning that she had a babysitting history, so why was Anna and her offered the memberships so easily? And why weren't they grilled like Dawn was?

It's because they were 13 and twins! But that's a good point, actually... What *is* Abby's past experience with kids?!

I really don't like Abby at all. I guess it bothered me that she was the "Cousin Oliver" type character brought in to save the series.
