^that is an excellent assessment.
re: Michel, after that book i don't see how any is still riding the "Kristy is total lesbian 100%" train.

Totally agree Alula. Also agree Greer about Kristy not being a lesbian. That is so annoying, I think, as it is so judgemental. My mom has always worn her hair short, not been into fashion and "girly" stuff, and liked sports but is definitely not a lesbian. I know lots of other women like that, too. I had forgotten about Michal but really liked his "love/hate" relationship with Kristy, as well. I can't remember what Alan's reaction was to that, if he had one, but can imagine some kind of jealousy coming out in an immature way. Interesting missed opportunity if it wasn't mentioned. I liked it in Sister War when Kristy wanted to get kids dancing and pulled Alan out onto the floor. Made me think that if she supposedly hates him so much, why would she chose him to dance with out of all the other boys there? Moments like that show me that she does like him more than she wants to admit.

Kristy dragging Alan onto the dance floor was really a WTF? kind of moment.

I think the fact that it was that kind of moment was what I liked about it since it seemed to show (or reinforce my belief ;D) that it must have come from somewhere. Otherwise, why would she chose Alan? She had to have been subconsciously thinking about him or something (now I'm analyzing way too much ;D)

I think Kristy doesn't "hate" Alan as much as she likes us to believe. I think she may have actually liked him a little bit but didn't want to admit it to herself or to anybody else.

This could also explain her OTT reaction in the FF where Claudia gets together with Alan, not necessarily because of jealousy... I think Cary Retlin and Alan both had something going for Kristy.

i prefer cary/mary anne to kristy/cary. cary and kristy seemed to genuinely dislike each other to me.

I think Cary Retlin and Alan both had something going for Kristy. This gives new meaning to the three of them trapped in that museum all day in the Fright Night SS

I really liked the interaction between Kristy and Alan in Fright Night. That is one of my favorite Kristy/Alan books and I'm looking forward to reading it over Halloween ;D Agree, greer, about Kristy/Alan being better than Kristy/Cary. I can also see MA/Cary.

I've just thought over this. I am not a big fan of Cary/MA. To be fair, I have not read Cat Burglar or Disaster Date, but Mary Anne's personality would have made it highly...unenjoyable to read about her making gooey-eyes at Cary. Logan was appropriately dumb and vanilla for her. It is likely though that Cary did have a crush on MA. Why did he really send those notes to her Logan in Baby-sitters Beware? I appreciated that in FF 6, Kristy never explicitly hinted that she might have liked Cary, and they didn't get together and make out or anything. But even if you do believe that Kristy was a lesbian, the relationship between Cary and Kristy just wouldn't have worked out the same if you went back and * * made Cary a girl.

Soooo much word. That might be why the only guy I ever really liked with Kristy was Bart. The Michel storyline made me want to vomit.

I wondered the same thing, fluffy. We know that at one time Alan had a thing for her, but I always wondered about Cary, too. Why else would he prank her and the BSC so much? If he hated her, wouldn't it have been easy to just avoid her? Just a thought.

I don't know if I like Alan/Kristy... it had potential in the begining, but... I don't know. I do like MA/Cary, and I've yet to read those books where there is supposedly tension.
