I've been re-reading the Harry Potter series and (noticing a similar post to this on a 'Friends' discussion board) I was thinking, what house from the Hogwarts House System would the BSC members be in?
Gryffindor values courage, chivalry and boldness. Hufflepuff values hard work, loyalty, patience, friendship and fair play. Ravenclaw values intelligence, knowledge and wit. Slytherin house values ambition, cunning and resourcefulness.
Personally I think it would be like this -
Gryffindor - Kristy, Logan and Jessi Hufflepuff - Mary Anne Ravenclaw - Mallory and Shannon Slytherin - Not sure...
Not sure where to put Stacey, Claudia and Dawn... Perhaps Slytherin for Dawn as she can be pretty sly, e.g. the trick she played on Mary Anne.

Hmmm, I'm not sure about Claudia, Stacey, and Dawn either. For some reason, I would put Stacey in Ravenclaw because she is supposed to be smart. I dunno.

Hahaha I could imagine Claudia being a squib ;D She'd be jealous of Ravenclaw sister Janine. Also I think you're right about Stacey being a Ravenclaw. The reason I put Mallory in Ravenclaw initially was because she can be quite witty... however she does seem Hufflepuffish as well

I see Mallory more as a Ravenclaw than as a Hufflepuff, I see her as a bookish, quite witty character. Stacey would be in Ravenclaw too. And Claudia...It's hard to place her. Heh, maybe she's a squib then. Jealous of Janine, who would be a really good student, possibly a Prefect too.
Oh, and Abby would also be in Gryffindor.

Gryffindor:
Kristy: Kristy probably would have organized a hogwarts bsc and would have been bossy enough to make suggestions to Dumbledore. She also would have adapted Kristy's Krusher's to some hybrid form of quidditch and softball.
Dawn: would be joining Hermione in SPEW and trying to start a hogwarts environmental campaign.
Hufflepuff:
Mallory: she valued her friendships with the bsc more than anything and often felt lost without them such as when the club broke up. being a member of the Pike family she was patient and hard working. She was also loyal to the bsc and her younger siblings.
Mary Anne: Just because she was supposed to be the sympathetic one. She was also patient and loyal and hated fighting with her friends.
Ravenclaw:
Claudia: Claudia's competition with Janine reminds me of Ron vs. Percy. Percy was the smart big brother and Ron felt like he would never be as smart as Percy or as entertaining as the twins. Claudia would be sorted in because Janine was and the hat thought she had potential. Claudia would never reach the potential because she'd be too busy hanging out with Luna Lovegood whose eccentric behavior would remind Claudia of Ashley Wyeth. Although Claudia as a squib sounds good.
Jessi: She had a bit of a sassy side which could translate as wit. And Ravenclaw would appreciate Jessi especially if she could translate her ballet grace and talent to magic.
Slytherin:
Stacey: all those times she stabbed the bsc in the back for her other 'cool' friends or for Robert. Pure evil. She also thought being from NYC made her oh so sophisticated and better than others. Sorta like certain Slytherins and 'ooh we are pureblood we are the best'

Know nothing about these houses other than what Mcpon put because I can't stand Harry Potter but from her descriptions, I'd say: Gryffindor - Abby, Kristy, Logan and maybe Claud for the boldness factor. Dawn, too, for that reason Hufflepuff - Mallory and Jessi and Mary Anne Ravenclaw - Stacey, Mallory (if they can be in two) and possibly Shannon Slytherin - Kristy, Abby, Stacey, Shannon I'm not sure if they can be in two houses, though, so don't know where some of them would fit best. I can see particular traits from each house in every sitter.

Here's some ideas for some non-BSC members:
Karen: Slytherin Andrew: Ravenclaw Watson: Hufflepuff Richard: Ravenclaw Sam: Gryffindor Sharon: either a squib or just a muggle (Hey, she leaves her high heels in the fridge for Pete's sake! ;D)

What is a squib or muggle because it sounds like Claud might be a candidate for that one? ;D Also, what excatly are these houses? Only made it through one HP book and don't remember them being mentioned but don't remember much from the book except that I really didn't care for it. I'm interested in these houses, though (but not enough to read another HP book - I just am not into fantasy - give me the BSC any day ;D)

^ Lol. Okay a muggle is a non magic person. (we would be muggles). a squib is a person that is born to a magic family but has no magical powers at all. The houses are named after the four founders of Hogwarts. Gryffindor (where the brave are), RAvenclaw (the nerds), Slytherin (Mean, cunning, will do anything to get what they want, dont like muggles and hate people that are born in muggle families that come to hogwarts. They dont think they're 'worthy") and Hufflepuff (loyalty and friendship).

No they can't, not in the books anyway. However, I've been in Live Journal communities where we've sorted each other and done hybrid-sorting. I'm usually considered a Slytherpuff. I think in real life most people wouldn't fit in one house alone, but have combinations of the qualities of other houses.
