I think I'll take a crack at listing some Claudia outfits. From Books 1-4 Chapter 2s From Kristy's Great Idea Page 25: "She was wearing short, very baggy, lavender plaid overalls, a white lacy blouse, a black fedora, and red hightop sneakers without socks." From Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls Page 7: "Today for instance, I'm wearing purple pants that stop just below my knees and are held up with suspenders, white tights with clocks on them, a purple plaid shirt with a matching hat, my hightop sneakers, and lobster earrings." No description in The Truth About Stacey or Mary Anne Saves the Day.

My least favorite Claudia clothing item has GOT to be that silly vegetable shirt that someone already mentioned. Even as a kid, I read that and though "Huh???" Let's just say that's one outfit I didn't try to copy.

anything involving "baggy men's pants gathered at the waist with a bungee cord" or "oversized man's shirts"

i remember thinking claudias outfits were so cool when i was little. like everyone else i can now see that they are mostly atrocious, but i bet back in the late eighties they actually looked fashionable.
i recently re read Mary Anne and the Bad Luck Mystery and in the start of that Claudia was wearing a blouse with prints of vegetables all over it. like eggplants and zucchinis and lettuce heads... and MA was saying how cool it was.
wtf? haha. she should have worn a blouse with junk food all over the front as i highly doubt that Claudia ever ate vegetables.

Hey, I really liked that vegetable blouse! I still, do, actually I think it sounds cool. Mmm, eggplant. The other night one of my friends was going to wear a shirt with vegetables on it out, and he didn't understand why I thought it was so funny and why I wouldn't let him wear it

I'm going to have to go back and look at every BSC book I read over the weekend, because I found what must be THE worst outfit in the history of outfits. I told myself I needed to bring the book to work to copy it directly, but I forgot.

Someone might have mentioned this outfit already but in The Mystery at Claudia's House, she wears checks and polkadots together and says that the effect was "a little dizzying but just what she was looking for." What effect would that be - the "super clash" look I'm one who has always laughed at Claud's outfits and never could understand why the BSC thought they were so cool. Kristy is more my style.

From Mallory Hates Boys and Gym. "Claudia was wearing a pair of soft, balloony purple pants; a neon green long-sleeve leotard top; a wide red-braided belt; and a pair of soft red ballet slippers shoes."
From Kristy for President. "Claudia was wearing lime green bicycle pants, a long, long bright pink shirt, and a cropped lime green striped shirt over that. She was also wearing black hightop leather sneakers with pink butterfly barrettes clipped to the laces. She had two feather earrings in one ear (lime green of course) and a tiny pink heart in the other."
From Jessi's Gold Medal. "she was wearing these sharply creased, pastel green, cuffed shorts; a wild Hawaiian shirt tied at her waist, with vibrant colors that perfectly picked up the green; and sandels with crisscrossing ankle straps to her knees.

^There's one Jessi book where she mentions Claudia wearing shoes with attached ribbons that she crisscrosses up her calves and ties. Jessi then goes on to say that that makes them "kind of like toe shoes". I remember reading them when I was getting ready to start preparing for pointe classes (I ended up putting them off about six years, hahaha) and being disgusted by that inaccuracy.

You just have to love the bicycle shorts. Who else had those as a kid? I had a pair in YELLOW. Oh the horror.

I had tons of "biker shorts" (thats what we called them) as a kid. I wore them with everything. I had a see-thru pair meant to go under skirts that I tried wearing with a gray sweatshirt once (no skirt, just the see-thru bottoms) with crimped hair. I remember my mom would buy me outfits that came with a pair of biker shorts (but not stretchy ones, just regular cotton) that had patterns all over them, and the top that came with it ALWAYS had a little ruffle going around the waist, like a super short, waist-length dress or something. I don't know. I thought I was pretty d**n cool, though.
I didn't wear this at 13 though!

So biker shorts were basically legging shorts, right? If so, then...yeah.
