Kristy and Bart

I actually liked this relationship. The making-out scene in Kristy + Bart was refreshing (especially since they were not even serious) in comparison to the old-fogies one of the MA/Logan thing. So what does everybody think of this ship (Kristy & Bart)? Or this pairing.

I haven't read Kristy + Bart = ? or later books like that, so I'm not exactly sure where the relationship goes. I do like Kristy and Bart, I think they're pretty realistic in that most of their relationship consists of walking home after baseball games and Kristy always seems pretty nervous around him. It's cute to see Kristy feeling insecure, definitely makes her a bit more likeable. Bart is hella creepy in Kristy's Mystery Admirer, but I guess other than that he's okay. I prefer Logan as a boyfriend, but Bart ain't bad

I remember in TWoP the discussion about the make-out scene in Kristy + Bart = ?

It sounded fascinating! I can't find this book ANYWHERE, but I'd love to read it for that scene alone!

Pretext for coming over: Bart: "I was bored. Dad and Mom want to watch some dumb history show. I figured I'd come over and watch the game." *after getting situated on the sofa* ---
"Bart slipped his arm off of the sofa and around my shoulder. When I put the glass down, Bart's face was about an inch from mine. I glanced at the TV. Another commercial was *on.* Bart's eyes were starting to close. I closed mine, too. We kissed, to the music of Weed Wipeout lawn care products. Bart kind of cradled my face with his hands. That felt nice. And he wasn't brusing my face, the way he did at the movie. His lips were cool and sweet from the sodda. But I was beginning to run out of breath, so I pulled away. We both laughed a little, gulping for air. *car commercial - Bo-ring.* Kissing was much more fun. We started again. I hugged Bart, which turned my upper body toward his, so my neck didn't feel so strained. My back, however, felt all twisted. I swung my legs underneath me so I could turn all the way to the right."

All kidding aside, I still feel so strange reading about Kristy making out. I mean, wasn't she the girl who had *just* giving up playing with dolls over the summer between 7th and 8th grade?

^It was the summer between sixth and seventh grade. Which is about when I stopped playing with dolls, too, but it seems a little bit more bizarre coming from Kristy because 1) can you imagine KRISTY playing with DOLLS, ever? and 2) I was in elementary school in Grade Six; Kristy wasn't.

I think it seems strange because we know how Kristy usually is. At least, that's how it is to me.

^I haven't read that book either, and I agree that scene is really shocking!! I would never expect to read something so detailed in a BSC book, especially involving Kristy! I always thought their kissing never went beyond a quick peck goodbye. (That goes for any of the club members.) Who knew there was actual making out in BSC-land?
