I don't know if this is exactly were this belongs but i'm going to forge ahead I recently saw Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street in theatre and i love it so much. i seen it 5 times and if someone told me "hey lets go see it now" i'd say OK! of course, knowing Stacey's love for Broadway, I automatically thought it would be awesome ff Stacey saw Sweeney Todd live on stage. XD and she takes Claudia to see it. I can see Claudia coming home (just like me) and being totally obsessed with the musical score, and putting her hair up like Mrs. Lovett and saying things like "My Mrs. Lovett hair" and so on. Other plays I love are: Evita Chicago Tommy and Les Miserables all musicals i pretend that Stacey has seen too.

I recently saw Spring Awakening on Broadway, and I can see Stacey really digging it.

If Mr. and Mrs. McGill would let her see that!
I always wondered why more musicals weren't mentioned by name, since Starlight Express was...

Hahaha, I can see Stacey convincing Mr & Mrs McGill to let her see it and then being completely horrified and having nightmares afterward.

^ Not to sound stupid ;D but what is Starlight Express about? This is an interesting topic. I know the girls went to a Broadway show in Stacey's Mistake. Did it say which one? What other Broadway shows has Stacey been to or mentioned?

I will forever associate "Sweeny Todd" with "Jersey Girl". I know it's supposed to be one of the worst movies ever, but it's one of my all time favorites.

^I loved it. That's what Sweeny Todd makes me think of too. That little girl who played Gertie was so cute. ;D

What other Broadway shows has Stacey been to or mentioned? I haven't seen it before, but I do know that Starlight Express is an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical which is about trains (actors literally being trains as characters) revolving around a big race. Like Laine said, the actors do perform on roller skates. Here's a clip from the London Cast - www.youtube.com/watch?v=cje9BJ2hovQ&feature=related

What other Broadway shows has Stacey been to or mentioned? That's the one they saw, I think. I don't know what it's about either; I've never seen it nor do I have any desire to. All I know is that it's about trains and performed on roller skates. And I too associate Sweeney Todd with Jersey Girl, though I was familiar with it long before. I liked the movie okay, didn't see why everyone hated it. God forbid Kevin Smith try something different. I think people were just annoyed that it wasn't another Jay and Silent Bob comedy.

^ Thanks. I'll check out Starlight Express. I think I've seen Jersey Girl but might be wrong. I'll have to check and see. If it's what I'm thinking of, I liked it. Thanks Lila for the complement. ;D Here's a link to the Pike girls in case you want it. ;D i178.photobucket.com/albums/w253/aln1982/pikegirls.jpg

i don't think Stacey would have much trouble, because i thought her parents were very leaniant with her. there were times when the parents seemed to allow her so much freedom and all.
In Stacey the Math Whiz, she was set to ditch the competition for U4Me and her mother didn't think it was smart but she allowed Stacey to choose.
then in Stacey's Lie her dad didn't seem at all angry. though he did sneak around too, but still, most parents, i think, would be mad at their kid even though they were guilty of the same crime. (mine would be like "what i do is none of your concern" )
in Stacey and the Bad Girls her mom just tells her "choose your friends wisely" not "YOU ARE GROUNDED' i dont think she was grounded but i cna't be sure...
i think seeing Sweeney would not be a hard thing for our Stacey to accomplish...haha

I just read Truth about Stacey and she was excited that her parents were going to take her to see Paris Magic. What is that about, by the way? I thought it was nice that the McGills could share that interest together. Did Mrs. McGill ever go to another show after the divorce or maybe she wasn't really into Broadway but just going along with Stacey and Ed.
