I've learned something from you all because I did have a hamster when I was younger and there's no way it would have been taken to the vet. I always thought rodent pets were like goldfish, cheap and likely to die often. I have no idea how Jessi decided the one she was watching was sick because they are nocturnal animals and would probably be asleep whenever she stopped by to check on them. Luckily I got mine from a family friend and they took it back when I was sick of it escaping from it's cage at night and running around my house. (What a nightmare.) Anyway, you guys are much more compassionate than me!

Ditto. Our hamster would chew out of its (plastic) cage and run all over the house and...relieve itself. We gave it to a pet store. Oh, and on the first day, it bit me! I've been holding a grudge ever since.

Oh, really? I dunno, I've never had a rodent pet before! But now that you put it like that... Hmm. Even so, if it were somebody else's pet, it'd still be responsible to do everything you can to make sure that it doesn't die. Though I do hear lots of stories about goldfish being replaced...

Well, there's not a lot you can do if a goldfish dies on your watch. Majority of times, it wouldn't be anyone's fault, they just seem to randomly pass away.

I've been holding a grudge ever since. My hamster used to bite me all of the time too. So I gave it back to the friend that had given it to me. He said he would "cure" her. When he gave it to me again it was like the tamest hamster. Wonder what he did. As for goldfish, they just die too easily. You have to be precise when feeding them or else they will eat too much, because they don't know when to stop, and kill themselves. I dunno. That's just from my experiences.

Wonder what he did. Spooky! ;D Dumbasses! Maybe it's that three second memory thing, they forgot they just ate? I used to chuck tons of food into their bowl (because I'd forget to feed them sometimes) so maybe that's why my fish never lived long.

*gasp* Jessi's thread is the only one where her last name isn't in the title...she might call us all racists now!

^ ;D Too funny! It reminds me of the most hilarious quote on the old TWoP BSC forum (which is no fun anymore...) when there was a discussion about why Jessi had only one mystery and someone said "well, it was probably because 'the man' kept her mysteries from being popular"

Well 'the man' was obviously Hodges Soileau for making her look bad on all the covers.

I guess the man didn't like her either because she hanged out with Jessi, targeted-for-association, man that sucks.

From the TWoP thread:
How awesomely terrible would it be if Ann picked Jessi's last name because a black character on a television show had it?
