^I've lived in the Seattle area, and we did Romeo and Juliet in 9th grade and Julius Caesar in 10th, but that was all that was required. There was a Shakespeare elective, though. I wish I'd taken it!

My high school did Romeo and Juliet in 9th and Julius Casear in 10th. My AP English class in 12th grade did both Hamlet and Macbeth.

Does anyone know the book (I think it's a Claudia book) where she ty-die white short with blue for Kristy's basketball girl team (Kristy coaches, I think), in her room with her boyfriend? Thank you if someone can remember!

I think it's Claudia and the Little Liar. Josh is supposed to be helping Claud make the uniforms for the girls.

Which book was it where the Pike kids played Sardines? I just read a Sweet Valley Kids book where they played that game and I knew what it was because of the BSC ;D

^ I think it's from Mary Anne and the Great Romance. Not positive, but that's my best guess.
Does anyone know what book it is when the narrator describes the club members as their favourite animals in chapter 2?

Does anyone know what book it is where someone uses the phrase "a brain-numbing waste of valuable time," possibly to describe school assemblies?

^ ;D That sounds like Claudia but for some reason, I'm thinking it could be Kristy. But I guess it could really be anyone so I have no idea where to even start looking. Was it Jessi's Gold Medal when neither MA nor Char wanted to participate in the sports stuff so they had a lemonade stand?

Was it Jessi's Gold Medal when neither MA nor Char wanted to participate in the sports stuff so they had a lemonade stand? Yeah, that was Jessi's Gold Medal. I remember Mal saying that she should have talked to them instead of "accidentally" spraining her ankle to avoid the competition. Gee Mal, ya think?

Thanks. I had forgotten about Mal "accidentally spraining her ankle ;D I guess that's one way to handle it. ;D Anyone figure out yet where the "mind numbing" quote came from that Wanderingfrog wondered about? Now it's driving me crazy too ;D

I'm thinking it was Kristy that said it, but I don't know which book it was.....maybe "Kristy for President?" I think there were a lot of assemblies in that book.

^ I was thinking that one also. Now I'm going to have to check ;D Might be School Spirit War or Kristy in Charge, though, as I think I remember assemblies in those. I guess I need to just start looking through books....

I could be completely wrong, but the quote about 'mind-numbing' assemblies makes me think of Secret of Susan. I think Mary Anne said something like that to Kristy before they went to the assembly where Kristy randomly noticed the handicapped kids for the first time. I don't have a copy, though, so I can't check.
