So for those of you following the American election, which presidential candidate do you think the BSC-ers would support?
Kristy: Would be a huge McCain-Palin supporter, no questions asked. Mary Anne: I see her voting for McCain but being a fairly moderate conservative. Claudia: She'd probably support Obama, much to her parents' chagrin. Stacey: I think she'd be a pretty informed voter and would end up voting for Obama. IMO she'd be a fiscal conservative but a social liberal. Dawn: Either she'd be a fervent Obama supporter or she'd vote for the Green Party candidate whose name escapes me now. Jessi: The black guy. Mallory: Nader. Logan: In Southern good-ol'-boy fashion, he'd support McCain to the end. Also in typical Southern good-ol'-boy fashion, he'd want to bone Palin. Shannon: Even though she lives in a moneyed neighborhood, I see her as liberal across the board.
Your take?

Haha, of course ;D. I agree with you on the rest of your picks as well. Actually, I could see Kristy being a Hillary Clinton supporter as well (thinking back to the primaries) because she as a woman was running for president .

I can see Kristy really supporting Hillary too. I could see Abby liking Obama.

I could definitely see Kristy as supporting Hillary. I could see Abby supporting Obama or Hillary. Dawn would definitely support the Green party.

Truth be told, they're all written in such a way that by the end their personalities were exactly the same yet extremely different. But because of the influence of the writers, it makes them all seem like very liberal characters. Thus, I see all of them voting for Obama.

I live in Canada where the parties are quite different. But this is my take on it.
Kristy: Conservative (right wing) Mary Anne: Liberal (centrist) Stacey: NDP (left wing)-since she like collecting taxes so much Mallory: Liberal Claudia: NDP Dawn: Green Party Abby: NDP Jessi: Liberal Logan: Conservative Shannon: I don't think she would vote.

I think Mary Anne and Stacey would become moderate Republicans/libertarians, Dawn Green and the rest moderate Democrats.
For this particular election, most would like Hillary Clinton, thinking she's got good policy positions and a pragmatic style while Trump and Cruz are too macho and blustering (but Dawn would love Sanders and Logan maybe Cruz). But Mary Anne and Kristy might be impressed by Cruz's personal success story (both, especially MA after reading the memoir, would have also loved Obama's) and they and Stacey also by Cruz's choice of Carly Fiorina for vice president.

NONE of them would vote for Trump.
The BSC ladies would vote for Obama and Hillary.
Ann Martin hinted so much that none of the girls are right-wing or conservative.
