Just tell me if there is already a thread for this, and I'll go there instead.
Does anyone else read Harry Potter fanfiction? I love to read stories about the Marauders, like:
"Being Sixteen Isn't As Easy As It Sounds"
"Being Seventeen Isn't As Easy As It Sounds"
"Being An Adult Isn't As Easy As It Sounds"
"Once Upon A Time"
"A Story of Four Friends"
I also like to read the Unbroken Universe series (Promises Unbroken, Promises Mistaken, and Promises Defended) where James and Lily never died, Peter never became the Secret Keeper, Sirius is destined to defeat Voldemort, etc. James is my favorite character, so I don't really read fanfiction unless he is one of the main characters.
Anyone else almost as obsessed with the Harry Potter world as you are with the BSC world?

I've actually read some James/Bellatrix, but I haven't read any Voldemort/Bellatrix. This may sound strange, but I like reading fanfiction where Voldemort is James's father.

Hee, me too! I was never really interested in HP, so didn't read much fanfic for it, but I like the bad ones. They're good for a laugh. Have you read 'My Immortal' on ff.net? It has, I think, thousands of reviews (mostly trolls or negative comments) and is legendary. In fact, it's so amazing that if you google 'worst fanfic ever' it's the first result you get.

I love that the Mary Sue is a Hot Topic-shopping goth.

That's hilarious... and sad... at the same time.
I don't know if I can sit through it. I love Harry Potter, but really not big on harry potter FF for some strange reason. I don't know. Maybe I should give it a go though.

I'm pretty sure it's a joke or a really 'dedicated' troll. It uses a lot of fanfic jokes, like the Mary Sue who's into Hot Topic, and the author's username is a really over-the-top goth name. There's also a chapter that someone supposedly added after hacking into the writer's account, which would probably have been taken off immediately if the writer was serious. And *lol*, I just checked out the latest chapter and the author raves about Tom Felton being hot- which I think relates to a HP fandom joke as well. Still. Very funny.  I think part of my reason for not reading HP fanfic was also because I didn't know where to look. ff.net has thousands, and most of them don't seem too great. But if I get the chance, I'll take a look at the ones you've mentioned, bscgirl10. I liked the Marauders too. (Probably more than Harry and co.) |

BSC is actually the only thing I'll read fanfic for. I read all the HP books, but I never got into them the way I did BSC. Maybe because I didn't grow up with them, or because the whole magical thing distanced me from them.

If you ever do decide to read any of the fanfiction I listed, "Once Upon A Time" can only be found on harrypotterfanfiction.net. The sequel to it is on fanficiton.net, though. My favorite fanfictions ever are in the Unbroken Universe trilogy. If you ever want to read good Harry Potter fanfiction that involves about any character you can think of and has amazing details, you should read that series.

I used to write Harry Potter fanfiction. I didn't write a lot and none of it was very good, but I had fun. I was OBSESSED with Regulus Black. Pretty much from the first time I read Order of the Phoenix, I wrote a ton of fic about him, mostly drabbles that are somewhere in the bowels of hp100 on LJ, since my laptop died. But some of them, you can find on ffn, which is easy enough to find, lol. I still love me some Remus/Sirius fic. I'm still a member of the R/S community on LJ and sometimes I'll get it in my head that I want to read it. And I'll find some good ones. The ship never died!  I always preferred fics about the adult characters, or the supporting players (Neville, Luna, etc.). |

I'm not obsessed with HP by any means, but I'm currently reading the Sacrifices arc by Lightning in the Wave, which is amazing. Sam the Storyteller has written some good fic too.
