There seemed to be a lot of people seeing these two as a potential couple in the "unlikely couples" thread so I thought I'd start a thread for them. I can see a bit of what might be considered flirtation between them in several books or maybe it is just that they have a lot in common. I think their relationship would be complicated, though, by their dominant personalties clashing. Also, I think the fact that Logan and MA were serious first and Kristy's relationship with Mary Anne might prevent Kristy from dating Logan. I am actually starting to warm up a lot to the idea of Kristy and Logan (though Alan is still my first choice for her). Any thoughts on these two?

It's always seemed kind of weird to me, although they had a relationship in the Babysit RPG, didn't they?

I can see Kristy and Logan as attempting a relationship, then realizing they're better off as friends. they have the sports thing in common, but I think they'd both be too competitive and controlling. I also don't think Kristy would ever date him b/c him and MA were so serious. I think MA has a bit of an inferiority complex when it comes to Kristy and that'd put her over the edge. I also hope Kristy would never be that horrible of a friend.

I totally agree with you, sotypical. These were my exact thoughts (I think you've been reading my mind on other posts today, too ))

I don't think Kristy and Logan would've really worked. She wouldn't let him control her, for one thing. Also, I don't think Logan would be the type of guy to fall in love with a girl like Kristy.

I agree Inge. Kristy's too strong willed for Logan.

I agree with everything that's been said. On the surface it's easy to say "well they both like sports and they have similar personalities, so yeah!" but really I think their personalities would just get the way of any potential relationship. I definitely think Logan wants someone who's quiet and kind of meek like Mary Anne.

I don't think it's all just about the surface commonalities, i.e. sports, sports, and more sports. Like I said on the couples thread I think a relationship would potentially work because their personalities are similar enough to maintain a friendly, lasting bond which is as far as the BSC takes their relationships, really; at least, that's what is considered quite important in MA and Logan's relationship -- they're good friends that care for and understand each other.
Not sure how the romantic aspect would play out -- Kristy is just as stubborn if not more so than Logan and not a tentative girl that he could feel protective of -- though Bart does bring out her softer side, and Logan sometimes does get very annoyed by MA's sentimentality at times.
But yeah, the times they do interact in the books they seem very comfortable with each other, like when Kristy helps Logan pick out a ring for MA. And regarding "Kristy wouldn't let Logan control her", I don't see it quite like that because Kristy would never let it get to the point where control would become an issue with her! MA "let" Logan control her by her lack of speaking up, voicing her feelings/concerns about Logan's actions. Kristy would probably jump in right away and say what she would/would not like and then Logan would actually have something to work with, instead of accepting the role of "boss" in the relationship.

Kristy/Logan might make a good couple, but it would be weird to see anyone with Logan that's not MA.

I totally agree booboo. I don't think Logan would be as controlling if he didn't have to take the boss role so often. I don't see a good relationship happening between Logan and Kristy though. You need more than things in common to have a good relationship, and I just don't see any other things coming into play to make it a good relationship.

ooh yeah I agree with you, Ma_4_ya. I don't think Logan is interested in a stronger-willed girl. He pretty clearly likes have a pushover of a gf.

I don't think that Logan has anything that could win Kristy over. And I think that would frustrate him and kill the relationship from the beginning. He probably knows that Mary Anne was sort of awed that he, a handsome jock, chose plain Mary Anne, of which is a boost to his ego. And he probably needs the nurturing type like Mary Anne, of which Kristy would not want to provide.

Logan would probably have to start his own baseball team for really uncoordinated kids before Kristy would notice him in that way. And, really, are there enough horribly nonathletic kids in Stoneybrook to have three bad teams? Maybe he could take over the Bashers. Logan's Lashers?

Logan's Lushes? ..oh, that's his college beer pong team. You know, I think Logan Bruno is why I had such a hard time warming up to Logan on Gilmore Girls.
