The thread of Stacey's Broken Heart convinced me that this needed to be done... Who is you favorite Stacey boyfriend, and why? (See Stacey's Problem for a thorough, unrealistic review!)
I personally like Ethan, probably because he is the one I would most likely date. All of my serious boyfriends have been artists older than me. He was much less wholesome than the other Stacey boyfriends... he did have an earring and wild hair. He also seemed more sweet than the others. I mean, he did have that thing in Everything Changes where he schedules an art class for the weekend, but then he remedied that and it seemed like he and Stacey were on the road back to LUV at the end. He just seemed so hip and cool. The rest were way too dorky! I do like Sam, but he and Stacey never really got serious. He was too immature, I guess. He annoyed me in Starring the Baby-Sitters Club! and the Baby-sitters at Shadow Lake.

If Sam could be chosen then Sam. It's just because he's funny (or at least he is supposed to be).

Agree that Ethan seemed "above" the others, being the city boy artist who always dressed in black. Although I thought their Seattle rendezvous in BSC in the USA was pretty lame with a dumb accompanying pic to boot. But I think I liked him the best. Although I did find Robert and his problems with depression interesting, too. I also liked the on-again, off-again aspect of Stacey/Sam and he was usually written pretty realistically (eager to shave, etc.), instead of just the typical dreamy older guy.

probably either Ethan or Robert (before he cheated on Stacey and became depressed). they seemed the most fun and exciting (esp. Ethan with that eyebrow ring and his being 15, haha)
i liked that Ethan was an artist. i liked how Robert stood up for Stacey when the cheerleaders didnt pick her and how they wrote that article about how unfair all of the basketball worship was.

Do you feel that Robert resented Stacey, though? I feel that's kind of what led to him cheating--for Stacey he had to give up so much. He had to give up basketball and she wasn't around on weekends often.

Ugh this is sad, I haven't read enough later books to answer this

Oh, that's a good point, and I think an accurate one. He gave up basketball for her, and he also gave up his friends to a degree. After Stacey and the Bad Girls, Stacey didn't want to hang around with his friends anymore. Isn't it in Stacey's Broken Heart that Sheila and Andi show up during Stacey and Robert's tennis game, which upsets Stacey? I think that all contributed to his cheating on her. With Andi, he could be with his friends, with Stacey he could not.

I always liked Ethan. He seemed like he'd be hot. Plus he was older and more mature. I love those artistic men. : )

Stacey didn't ask him to give up either basketball or his friends, did she? Didn't he do that of his own accord? She put absolutely no pressure on him to quit the basketball team, and he didn't do it only because of how the cheerleaders treated Stacey, but also because he thought it wasn't fair how teachers and students gave special treatment to athletes.

I didn't think she asked him to either, I am going to have to go back and reread the later books though.

Does Wes count??? ;D I've always had a thing for older guys (though he would actually be younger than me now). Seriously, I hated Robert. Ethan seems to suit Stacey but guys with earrings and longish hair (which I think he also has) turn me off. Toby was okay before I saw what a jerk he really was. Sam is okay too but can get a bit obnoxious. I can't believe that he would say he dates Stacey "to practice" That seems awful. What boyfriends am I missing? I know she has had about a million

^I agree with you, aln. I can't really think of many of Stacey's bfs I'd have any interest in whatsoever.

Oh, man, NOW I feel old.
I really don't like any of Stacey's many men. Maybe Sam because I'm a sucker for the juveneile type for some inexplicable reason. But then again, I don't really like STACEY to begin with, heh.

I enjoyed Robert and Ethan the most. Probably Ethan though because I'm a complete sucker for that type of guy.
