I actually quite liked Grace - I thought she was nice, just friends with Cokie.

I think my feelings for Grace have been colored by fanfiction. Same with Howie Johnson and Emily Bernstein.

I also like Grace and wish that Cokie wasn't so mean to her! I am surprised Grace didn't stop being friends with her!

Definitely Stacey! She is constantly putting in those dumb remarks about how sophisticated she is compared to everyone, even her friends. It's like stfu Stacey, what do you want? the rest of them to bow down to your stupid fluffy hair? Ugggh. Plus there's the whole bad girls era. I don't mind MA's snotty comments because they're hilarious

I really don't think any of them are extremely mean so to speak. I think a lot of it was them being typical girls that age. I wouldn't write them off as being downright mean though.

^ Agree but I think it's them just being people. ;D I know a lot of adults who are way meaner.... I also like Grace, especially when she's away from Cokie, who does make me laugh because she's so.... extreme. ;D

^Me neither! I think they all are nice, and all have their moments, just like everyone does. It bothered me that it was Cokies friend (Grace) who started out liking Logan and then Cokie took over...I felt bad for her friend! That is just a big "No, no" in my book. You don't go after your friends crush! But, I guess that is Cokie for you! I agree.

Glad that's been your experience. ;D Unfortunately, I've encountered a lot of mean adults who act like middle school girls, I guess. ;D I don't think any of the girls are terribly mean, though. If I did, I probably wouldn't want to read the books. ;D

I can't really choose any! I mean, yes, they can all have their bitchy moments, but they also genuinally care about each other, and I think the good moments outweigh the bad ones for sure. On a side note, I'm re-reading Mary Anne's Bad Luck Mystery right now, and in the beginning Kristy makes a comment about how Claudia dresses up every day, not just for Halloween. Claud really takes offense! I mean, lighten up! They would be in shock to hear some of the things my friends and I say to each other, me and my roommate especially. It's all in fun, of course, but to anyone who didn't know us, you'd think we were worst enemies, not best friends! Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I think they sometimes overreacted a little, too. I mean, for that particular above comment, Kristy was obviously kidding, but MA even says something in the hopes of 'calming Claud down'. I just thought that was weird. lol. Sorry about going off on a random tangent

I def. think that Dawn is one of the meanest. She never seemed to take other people's feelings into consideration. What with her moving back and forth to Cali, getting bent out of shape easily....she just seemed really self centered.
Also...Jessi. She was so mean to Aunt Cecilia when she came to move in. Yeah, Aunt C might have been a pain, but for someone who claims to be mature, Jessi was a BRAT.
I think Mal was genuinely nice. She was so patient, calm, never had beef with anyone. What a trooper, that one.
