This is amazing! I had no idea there was an album.

I remember getting this cassette in my Easter basket! Probably in 3rd grade, so 1995? The songs are super cheesy but at the same time, they're just so upbeat and positive XD I do have it on mp3 now so it's always a surprise when one of the songs comes up on shuffle on my iPod (yes I still have my iPod, 10 years later and still works).

That's so sweet m0drnmoonlight, what a nice Easter Basket gift! They sound like the sorts of songs I would have liked as a kid. Positive, cheesy songs are great. I remember my sister and I absolutely loved the Saddle Club songs we used to borrow from the library on CDs, I'm sure if they had this album I would have been borrowing it constantly.

Wow, I didn't know Saddle Club had a CD too! I never read the books, I'm just familiar with the title from working at the library in the children's room for years LOL.

I'm going to have to listen to this now that I know it's up on YouTube! I love cheesy media tie-in soundtracks! Did anyone else notice that for the 1994 reissue they just gave Mary Anne her new hairstyle instead of making a new cover? Also, they sadly didn't make that picture of Kristy look any better. haha

I think they were from the TV show, they included the show's theme song, a bit like the BSC CD. Most of the songs were about friendship and horses with few about boys. I remember there was one about liking chocolate cake or something. I know we had one, I might have to dig it out for a listen >.< I just looked them up, maybe it was just an Australian thing, apparently every Saddle Club CD made the Australian music charts and the first three reach gold record status and were nominate for ARIA Awards! If the Saddle Club could do it, I reckon the BSC should have made the charts for 'Songs for My Best Friends'!
