I started collecting these as well as my BSC books in the last three years, but I had never really been into LS as a kid, and only ever read a handful. Now I am reading them in order, and find myself enjoying them way more than I should, even, if possible, wanting to read them over BSC books. How do you guys feel about LS as opposed to when you were a kid?

I always liked them, although I think I had read some BSC before I ever read any LS. Which one are you up to?

I started off reading LS before I even started reading the normal BSC books. I always loved them I think simply because I enjoyed all the stories Karen went through, whether it was with her family or her friends. I especially loved the holiday LS books. To this day I still love LS a lot, I think becacuse I can read them and feel a little bit of kid in me again.

I started collecting the LS books before I even had a BSC book. I still love the ls books, but not as much as I did when I was a kid. I also start reading them in order.

I started reading BSC almost as soon as I started LS. I got the first LS as a gift when the series first started, 1988 or whenever. I liked it and didn't like waiting a month for a new book, so since there were already a bunch of BSC books out I started reading them. Originally I probably only read the first 20 LS books, but as an adult I've read all but one. (Where are you hiding, Karen's Runaway Turkey? I need to read you.) I like them because they bring back memories of being a second grader and they are (often unintentionally) funny.

I've always liked them. I don't know if I like them more so than when I was a kid, but I certainly find them hilarious. I started reading LS before BSC anyway (I wish I could remember the first one I ever read!)

^ I think the first Ls I read was Karen's tattletale. I think I got it in a bookstore when I was 7.

I have read up to #49, and I am missing about 20 or so. Missing only one would be so frustrating! I think I may own Karen's Runaway Turkey too, lol.

Now I am reading them in order, and find myself enjoying them way more than I should, even, if possible, wanting to read them over BSC books. I feel the same way at times Kylie; mostly because I read LS before I even knew that the BSC even existed (I got into LS in the spring of 98' and got into BSC that summer). I enjoyed reading about Karen's adventures and fun times with her family and friends and reading them now as an adult, I love them just as much as I did then for the same reasons. They take me back to my childhood and memories of being a kid . Plus they're really funny ;D.

Sweetvalley, how old are you? You really were a Janey-come-lately to BSC/LS if you got into them in 1998!

I'm 19 . I was born in 1989 when the series was just getting started or had already started.

I've read more of them now than when I was a kid and I still haven't read the entire series. I think the Little Sister makes Karen a lot more likable than the regular BSC series.

I started reading the LS books first. Karen's Ducklings was the first BSC book of any sort that I ever read, and the LS still holds a place in my heart... and I definitely find myself wanting to read the LS books mroe often than the regular ones .

They take me back to my childhood and memories of being a kid . Yup. The covers are also really nostalgic for me, because I was always looking at and organizing my LS collection ;D
