I agree. When I read the ls books, I tend to sympathize with Karen. LoL. I also remember organizing my ls collection, at least the very few I had!

Karen is portrayed better in ls, even when she is being bratty

Yup. The covers are also really nostalgic for me, because I was always looking at and organizing my LS collection ;D I'm the same way about the covers, I was always trying to organize my collection as a kid and putting them all in numerical order lol ;D. I agree Kylie about Karen being portrayed better in LS. In BSC, she was just portryed as a horrible brat. Since I read LS first, when I first read about Karen and her personality in BSC I was not happy about it. To me, it seemed that the writers only wanted us to know that Karen was a spoiled know-it-all brat. In LS, while she does have her bratty qualities, it's balanced out by her normalcies of living life as a seven year old girl and she is much more likeable and tolerable to read about .

She is much more tolerable to read about from her own point of view. She had her ways, but you could learn to lover her.

I only remember reading two little sister books when I was a kid but I don't remember my reaction to them. I like reading the series now as an adult. And as everyone else said, Karen is portrayed better in the little sister series.

ooh--I think it may have been Karen's Kittycat Club. I think that was my first Karen book as well. I can't remember, but I think I've read LS first, or maybe it was around the same time, probably some where around 8 or so.

I read the BSC relatively late, at ten and eleven, so I vaguely remember leafing through a couple, but they were too young for me. Now they're a nice change from the sometimes unrealistic main series (I've only read a couple, though).

Now they're a nice change from the sometimes unrealistic main series (I've only read a couple, though). About the same thing happened to me, although I own most of the LS series now. Sometimes I prefer them over BSC when I want a really quick, light read. (LS is more of a light read than BSC, obv.)

I like the little sister and the regular books about equally for different reasons. It just depends on what mood I am in.

I don't like LS that much. I had a few as a child, but ultimately they're just too quick a read for me. I like it when the BSC shows up, but I don't even really collect these--I have maybe half.

Certain LS books rank among my favorites overall. Same with me, especially some of the Christmas or Halloween episodes.

Don't remember when I start collecting LS books. Probably in my teens. LS books I like to read, if I want quick read.
