Perhaps that's where the fashion trend of wearing multiple layers of socks over one another started? Or else those terrible scrunch socks. Lots of extra room! haha, I always wondered how that trend started! I sneak snacks into my purse while going to the movies too. I figure that the main reason for big purses anyways.

In the RPG I'm in, it's almost a rule that there's no interaction at pizza express unless it's a middle school character. There's a lot of other resturants (Thelma's, Argo's, Burger Barn, etc) in Stoneybrook. Chez Maurice doesn't really sound that fancy, but then again they serve sweetmeats...
I agree with the person who said the teenagers in BSC land probalby hang out at each other's house or hop the train and go to NYC.

The movie theatre I go to is also a restaurant, so I don' t have to sneak things in. I can order whatever I want and they bring it to me. I have to go to the bar to get wine and beer though

I don't eat when I go to the movies. It seems like a trap to make you eat more than you would normally.

^What's wrong with Pizza Express? I don't know. I guess the RPGers just want to explore other areas of Stoneybrook? Its liek an unwritten law. Perhaps because of all the middle school kids hanging out in Pizza Express?

There was a $2 movie theater near the college I went to briefly. To make up for what they weren't making from tickets, they sold $10 boxes of candy. These are the same boxes of candy that are on sale at Walgreen's all the time for $1. Also, I don't know anyone who doesn't bring their own food to the movies; most of them just bring it in bag.

^ If you disguise it in a funny way, they'll usually let you by. My friend stuck a six-pack underneath his t-shirt and got in, once.

At some movie theatres here, you're not allowed to bring in outside food.

You're not "allowed" to in most theaters here, either, but most people do! ;D I know I do... no way in he** am I paying $50 for a box of candy, popcorn, and a drink when I can get the same thing for less than $5 in the convenience store or grocery store. Hehe.

I went to go see a movie last week, Melancholia, and as soon as the movie came on, you could hear the cracks of eight or nine pop cans opening at once (mind included! tehehe)

We sneak food, at the movie theater. Usually will bring the same candy, we sometimes buy there. Or I'll bring different candy, that they don't have. I even bought cheeze-it in. (Not the box. Just ziploc bag of cheeze-its.) We also, bring different food. But not often.
I never heard someone bringing half gallon of ice cream to the movie theater. If, I bought a half gallon ice-cream at the movie theater the ice-cream will be melted before the movie started.

I've brought microwave popcorn in! My bag smelled like popcorn so I think they knew...

In high school my friends and I always used to sneak food. I hid a big bag of Skittles inside my coat one time and we ate them during "She's All That." ;D
