If you were Ann, would you search around online to find something like this? And if so, would you join? The reason I ask is cause I'm fairly certain either Emily or Greer mentioned this site to her/her people, so it's possible she knows. If so, do you think she's ever dropped by?

I never mentioned the URL to the Lisa Libraries; just that such a forum existed.
I have no idea... I would probably google myself all the time, if I were famous.

I doubt it would even occur to her that something like this might exist, almost a decade after the series ended!

Probably not, starrynight, especially after she handed the series over to the ghostwriters. It would be very interesting if she did though and acknowledged it. Has anyone written her lately and mentioned this site?

If I was Ann, I would be touched that their was still a group of people still reading the books and getting together and discussing them. That would make me feel happy and acomplished.

I think she'd be interested in knowing that so many message boards/communities/blogs have sprang up, with people of varying ages getting together and discussing the characters, the plots, and the influence the books have had on their lives, but I doubt joining or checking them would be her thing. I think she'd be surprised, most of all. That seems to be her general reaction when the continuing popularity of BSC is brought up in interviews and such.

^ I wonder how she'd feel about the snark? There's a lot of that going around, too.

Here we tend to be loving about our snark, like gentle family teasing, so I imagine she might not be too bothered by the way we are here. There are other sites, though....

A lot of the snark seems to have died down. It gets boring after a while.

Here or elsewhere, do you mean? (I haven't noticed it ever being too much here, and I haven't been on any other BSC sites except your own, Greer, to notice one way or another about other sites.)

In other places. There used to be several active snark blogs. Most of the blogs nowadays seem to be focused more on nostalgia. There is a snark livejournal community, and it used to get a lot of posts, but not so much anymore.

I remember one snark blog but I got fed up with her language and quit reading it.

I like the livejournal snark community a lot, but it doesn't get updated much. Most of the best books have already been snarked multiple times.

I really don't like the LJ Snark community. Most of the posters seem to be a little bit too "hehehe I'm so funny cuz i can say mean things"... also, I have this thing about the use of the word "snark". (I know that language changes... but I just hate the phrase "this is my first snark." I'm weird, I know.
I kind of hope AMM drops by sometime. I like to picture her posting under some alias, letting us in on the real motivations of her characters.

Sometimes I just feel tl;dr, especailly the way LJ entries are formatted and take up the whole screen. It's hard on a wide monitor.
