*runs off to check the user names list for suspicious ones* In all seriousness, who hasn't googled themselves at least once? When I googled Baby-Sitters Club, the board wasn't listed until page 3. Maybe we need to rename the place with her name in it.

Thanks, BooBoo. I truly have come to think so much of you ladies. (Virgo, you seem like a good guy, too) Lol, Sparklymouse. What did you find out? When I first joined, I confess to wondering if a few posters whose posts were generally abstract might just be "Ann in hiding." If she (Ann) is hiding, (which I doubt) that would make for a funny story should she ever reveal herself to us.

I could see her MAYBE registering a name at most, but I think that she knows that those of us with thousands of posts would recognize her "voice" right away. Throwaway Wizard of Oz/I Love Lucy reference? We're watching you!!!

^Kristy, Claudia, and MA talked about "the glue" that would hold their friendship together at the end of TSB. I think we are the glue that (now) keeps their friendship alive. "They" introduced all of us to one another and in turn we are carrying on their memory. In that sense, "we" are indeed the "real" BSC. As for Ann, she never answered my question the two times I wrote her asking if she knows of our forum. I have a feeling she must but as others have said, she has (sadly) moved on from the BSC. It would be awesome if she ever posted though. I would love to know for sure how much time she's spent on here. That's a great way to put it, and you articulated what I was trying to say on my other post but couldn't quite put into words. As for the snark comm, yeah, there are very few people who genuinely hate the books despite their lampooning. It's mostly good-natured nostalgia no matter how mean it *sounds*.

It would be cool if she did. I know that I would want to if I ever wrote a book that became popular. I think I would be googling myself all the time, and checking to see what fanfictions come up and everything. I know there are some authors that don't like fanfiction, but I know I'd be flattered. Someone likes my writing and characters so much that they want to write a story about them? Go ahead. Just like if someone made up a discussion community. You know that your writing is good if people want to get together and discuss the books, especially these ones. These came out in 1986 and here we are a lot of us adults and discussing them.
I got into the series when I was eleven years old. I never thought that at age eleven I'd be re-reading the series again at age 27. In fact, there was a while there in my teens that I hid the books because I didn't want people knowing that I read them. Well to be honest, I might do that now but I don't get that much company anyway and when people come over, they don't come in my room and that's where I keep all my books. The only reason now I am suddenly interested is because I found the TV series on Netflix. I watched them all, and I had the desire to read the books too. So while I am waiting for my books to come, I've decided to post on this forum.
I don't have any BSC books right now. I am ordering them offline. I've downloaded some on Kindle and I am waiting for about 57 of them to come in the mail. I ordered them off ebay. But anyway, I say it's a good thing for her that there are adults wanting to read her books when they are a childrens series.
