Jessi's name is occasionally spelled "Jessie," but that might just be a typo. Yup, I've also seen Mary Ann several times and possibly a Stacy.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Claudia's notebook entries? In Kristy's Great Idea, they mention the Pike's cat, Sarge. We never see Sarge at the Pikes' in any books. In Jessi Ramsey, Pet Sitter, Mallory says that they've never had a pet. In at least one later book, it is mentioned that the Pikes used to have a cat. I guess some ghostwriter or somebody remembered Sarge from #1, but that still doesn't jive with Mallory saying in #22 that they had no pets before Frodo. She says she used to have a cat in #39, which wasn't ghostwritten. AMM probably got a bunch of letters asking about Sarge and put that in to cover her butt. I know Tiffany Kilbourne's fluctuating age is mentioned a lot, but they completely changed Maria's looks too. First she has brown hair and hazel eyes and doesn't even look related to the other two. Then she's blonde and blue eyed, and all three of them supposedly look exactly alike. Claire is listed as four in book #80.

In book #33, Claudia and her dad have to drive through town to get to SHS for Janine's award ceremony. In #37, JUST FOUR BOOKS LATER, all dawn has to do to stalk Travis is walk across the lawn to SHS.

I just started "Mallory Pike, #1 Fan" and she says that Claire is 4 years old. Nice work Nola Thacker.

Didn't they fix some of these things when they made the new cover editions? Like Abigail to Alma and stuff like that.

There were one or two things...the Abigail to Alma, and they switched "Sheila and Kendall" to "Seth and Lisa" in #6.

^I stand by my theory that they were really excited about revamping the books because they thought hot new covers and no inconsistencies would make them sell more, but they had oversaturated the market with nine meelion spin-offs and The Movie, so sales continued to drop, and Scholastic just said, "f**k it. Just Photoshop a picture of some cloth onto the old cover, change the font, and release that."
That said, I think they also changed the color of Amanda Delaney's hair in Kristy and the Snobs.

Yeah, ITA
Scholastic would probably be surprised at sales if they re-released the books (not to mention the successful spin-offs like California Diaries). There seems to be a decent market for them, particularly the later editions. They were an absolutely phemonomenal success back "in the day" ... surely a new generation of kiddies would find them enjoyable.

^I feel that the Graphic Novel is testing the waters in that department. Like if the Graphic Novel does really well, maybe they'll put 1-4 back in print and so on.

I found Dawn and the Impossible Three on the shelf at Barnes & Noble when I bought the graphic novel. It was the new cover.

oh man I hope they re-release the books sometime. Not just for me, but I agree kids would enjoy them now too. My almost-7-year-old niece owns the graphic novel and loves it! She reads Little Sister books and would love BSC books! I just haven't really given her any yet cause she is still only 6 (almost 7!!)

well, my initial excuse for collecting the BSC books all over again was so my daughter could read them when she's older! I think everyone is well aware that my obsession has gone far beyond that now!!! ;D

My little cousin was at my place and she was looking at all my books with great curiousity (they're all lined up so the colors look all pretty). She's only 5, but I could definitely see her getting interested when she's older. Only I dont know if I'd trust her with mine, so it would be nice if they re-release them!
