^ BSC in the USA was published only 10 months after Kristy's portrait, where her left-handedness was a plot point. The portrait even has two illustrations of her with a baseball glove on the right hand. So that's pretty bad, and the illustrator should have caught that.

^ Her dad ended up giving her a baseball glove that's for people that are right-handed, forgetting that she's left-handed.

Shouldn't the glove be on the right hand if she is left handed? Then she throws the ball with her dominant hand?

Looks like I had a brain fart moment, sparklymouse. You're right, the glove should be on her right hand while she throws with her left hand. I'm not sure what I was thinking.

My comment was confusing. What I was trying to say was that the portrait accurately included pictures of Kristy wearing a lefty glove (which should go on the right hand), so the illustrator who drew her writing right-handed only a few months later should remembered known that she was left-handed. I assumed it was the same illustrator, but I guess we don't actually know.

Do we know who made the illustrations inside the books?

I was looking, but I couldn't find a name. The only credited artist I could figure out was the cover artist, and I don't think they are the same person.

^ I figured as much. Maybe someone with a Facebook account could ask Ann about it.

Nice find! So it was the same artist for both books.

I think for the NY, NY super special, it was Ann's dad that did the artwork.

I'll be surprised if this mistake hasn't been mentioned, but I just noticed on page 141-142 of Mary Anne and the Great Romance (1990 publication):
Dawn, Jeff, their grandparents and I got to sit in the very first pew. Right behind us were Kristy, Logan, Jessi, Dawn, Stacey, and Claud.
So Mallory didn't get invited, and instead Dawn's clone took her place!

Ugh, two Dawns. That seems like a mistake somebody should have caught. I'm pretty sure AMM wrote this one herself too.

Pretty sure I didn't see this one already...
In Dawn and the Big Sleepover, when the girls go to SES to talk about the fundraiser for their Zuni penpals, Dawn says they're driven over by I think the school secretary. But in the map in the Complete Guide, I believe SMS and SES are across the street from each other. So that was a very short drive!
