At least they aren't stirrup pants... those were totes dibble... I used to wear the elastic not under my foot... but under my shoe. Yeah, I know... don't be jealous of how cool I am. It takes work... Did your dad joke about how your pants were keeping your feet on? Because mine did. Because my dad is cool like that. And because fashion--any fashion--confuses him greatly.

Oh, I'm sure he did! My dad is super cool... *rolls eyes* I remember when I used to wear, like, a FLOCK of butterfly clips in my hair... My dad had a good time teasing me about that. But I didn't care, cause I was so in style, its not even funny

I had a butterfly clip! It was gold and sparkly and had springs so that the wings waved. yup.

'A'... as in one? I had HUNDREDS... little teeny ones... I'd put my hair in a bun and put the butterflies all over it! Claudia would have been so proud of me!

Haha yeah one. It was sort of big. That definitely sounds like a Claudia hairstyle!

It also sounds somewhat like what I did with my hair for a production of Godspell.
Actually, Godspell costumes and Claudia outfits aren't too far removed from one another.

I remember those butterfly clips. I had four regular ones and a bunch of knock-offs. The spiky clip hurt my hair though Sometimes I miss the 90s

I remember the butterfly clips! I would put my hair up and put all sorts of crazy things in my hair... and glitter. Lots and lots of glitter.

I had lots of butterfly clips. Those things were awesome! I had even more banana clips though.

Aw, I missed the heart jewelry convo. When I was fourteen, I had a black choker with a silver heart on it that I used to wear a lot.

I didn't really wear butterfly clips. I was sort of goth.

I used to have butterfly clips. I loved all of Claudia's earrings. I used to love finding unique earrings but I don't wear them anymore.

Lucky Magazine, January 2009. Their article on "The Next Big Things" includes jumpsuits. It says, "Okay, we were skeptical at first, too, but you can make this trend work. Style it a big slouchy (legs and arms cuffed a little) and cinch at the waist. Add low heels or ankle boots to contrast with the loose pant legs and open the collar to expose your collarbone. A cuff bracelet finishes it off with a touch of softness."
I see Stacey so vividly right now! And they have a picture of a Tommy Hilfiger silk jumpsuit that's $598! WTF?!?
