I still have the "adoption papers" from my first Cabbage Patch doll. Topic...the books were always pretty consistent about Charlotte's shyness/stage fright. I also liked how it was mentioned that Claudia was working w/ Emily Michelle some afternoons on concepts beyond Claudia and the Great Search. It was mentioned one or two books later, I think.

^ As for the stage fright with Char, I thought so too until I read Get Well Soon Mal and it says she's going to be the "head turkey" in the Thanksgiving play at school. Maybe she just didn't mention to fright and had to do the performance. I also liked the continued mentions of Claudia and Emily.

cabbage patch dolls creep me out. Those big plastic heads... the birth certificates to make them seem more human... Gah!

^ I like them but can see how you might not. My uncle used to call them "melon heads." ;D I always enjoy reading about the charges playing with the toys that I used to have fun with. Brings back good memories. ;D

Another one I just thought of is that Dawn's mom dated the "Trip Man" in several books. I always thought that was funny and was glad to see it mentioned more than once. Built up anticipation for me as a kid about whether or not she was going to end up with him (that would have been an interesting storyline, though ;D) or finally end up with Richard. ;D

Yeah, like the suntan girl billboard being replaced by an ad for Weiner's Weiners!
