Yeah, Sea City stuff was pretty consistent. The physical description of Sea City (a spit, which is a piece of land curved like a dog's tail) with the causeway, the secret sauce at Gurber Garden, and the boardwalk, to name a few more.
They also mentioned a couple of times that Mallory does not have a good singing voice.

^ I love all the Sea City consistencies that you mentioned. Just reading them makes me want to read a Sea City book. I need something to warm me up right now. ;D Also, Jessi does not have a good singing voice. ;D Do any of the girls? Maybe Kristy since she was Peter Pan.

^I think it was mentioned that Abby wasn't terribly musical, either.

none of them seemed to be really, which is kind of strange.

I think Mal also has a terrible singing voice.
From Ann's site:
Why aren’t any of the BSC members really actually musical? I thought about your question a lot, and I honestly could not come up with a very good answer! The arts are very important to me, and a big part of my life. I enjoy all kinds of music, and my absolute favorite event is a Broadway musical. So I guess I have no idea why I didn’t create a musically-talented BSC member!

maybe music would take too much time away from the bsc.

^ Maybe. ;D The musical talent is one reason I wish that Anna would have been a more prominent character.

Yeah, I always thought Anna would have been a neat addition to the BSC...and it would have been nice to read about a musical sitter.

I still have the "adoption papers" from my first Cabbage Patch doll. Topic...the books were always pretty consistent about Charlotte's shyness/stage fright. I also liked how it was mentioned that Claudia was working w/ Emily Michelle some afternoons on concepts beyond Claudia and the Great Search. It was mentioned one or two books later, I think. Oy oy oy ... instead of reading Charlotte's shyness, I thought it said Charlie's.. haha. I was going to say, 'Charlie was shy? Since when?!' haha, someone needs to become fully awake before posting on forums

I didn't remember that. Did she sing?

Yep... She was always acting in musicals and she mentioned a couple times about wanting to learn different instruments.

^ I remember the musicals now that you mention it. Also remember her being in choir, I think. I never thought much of this, I guess, because my cousin is in choir at her school (mostly because they had to let her in something and she was so awful in band ;D) and has the worst singing voice I have ever heard. ;D

I noticed another consistency/continuity with Alex’s parents (Robert’s friend) divorce mentioned in Stacey vs the BSC. This was a problem for Alex in that book that was brought up again in Stacey’s Ex-Boyfriend. Glad to see them building on something already used and had never picked up on this before.
