Most of these I just find kind of dull; I'm keeping the annoying/cringe-worthy books (like Mallory Pike, #1 Fan) for snark. I would definitely keep the "bad Stacey" arc, too.
--Stacey and the Mystery of Stoneybrook-- I always found this pretty tedious--the mystery is not that interesting AND it doesn't really get resolved, and while I usually don't mind Charlotte, she's really irritating here. --Stacey's Secret Friend--bleh. --Claudia Kishi, Queen of Seventh Grade--the whole seventh grade prom thing is weird and inconsistent, and it introduces Mark Jaffe. Yuck. --Claudia and the Little Liar--I just don't like this one. --Jessi's Horrible Prank--is really not that horrible (or interesting). --Claudia's Big Party--totally phoned in. --Mary Anne and the Little Princess--okay, this one is on account of dumbness, IMO. --Kristy Thomas, Dog Trainer--dull, and I always feel bad for Andrew.

Ugh, Claudia and the Little Liar. Important because she breaks up with Josh, but I hate the assassination of Haley's character.

The bad girl Stacey stuff was totally worth it. There needed to be an injection of rebelliousness! Mimi gets sick very early in the series, so maybe Ann and the writers knew early on they weren't planning on keeping her around...sad. I would have loved for her to have remained. Yeah exactly, there needed to be a rebel act in the BSC ;D. I hate that the writers killed Mimi off so early in the series . I guess they did that so they could write a book about coping with the loss of a grandparent but if they were going to do that why couldn't they have waited to do it later on? It would've been nice if she stuck around much longer; everyone needs a Mimi in their lives ;D.

If anyone has a "new" copy of Sad Goodbye (mines at home so i cant check) there is a letter from Ann in the back, and I remember she talks about the loss of her own grandma, and that brings about the book Sad Goodbye?? Im not sure if her grandmother was sick in real life but perhaps thats why Ann wrote the grandmother sick/dying story arc.

^I don't have the new copy, but that reminded of something similar in Ann's biography; I checked, and it's there. So I agree with you there.
"Granny lived to a very old age, and that's why Ann got to know her better than her other grandparents. Ann was 32 when Granny died at the age of 94. Ann was saddened, confused, and overwhelmed. Granny's death sparked the idea for the book Claudia and the Sad Goodbye. Ann used many of her own feelings to describe Claudia's reaction when Mimi died."

Baby Parade is bad, but I would keep it in, because it shows the BSC failing at something, and that is awesome. Totally keep Stacey's Big Crush, too! Its cringeworthiness is what makes it awesome.
I see no reason for Dawn and the School Spirit War to exist, though. And I don't like how Haley is suddenly such a horrible brat in Claudia and the Little Liar that it gives me retroactive hatred for her every time I read about her earlier in the series, too.

Stacey and the Mystery of Stoneybrook not only adds nothing to the series with a lame mystery that doesn't get a good resolution, but it also derails me every time I try to read the series straight through. Others:

I've got to agree with Alula about "Little Princess." I could have done without all the stereotypical Britishness, and I wouldn't have been all that upset if all the Victoria stuff had been cut from all subsequent books.

Reading about Victoria was for me very boring.

PL writes Claudia well. His punny style is perfect for her.

I don't dislike WSTO, per se, I just don't think it has anything in it that adds to any overreaching story arcs. The series would be much the same without it. Same with Mallory's Christmas Wish, which is one of my favorite higher numbers, but nothing in it is ever referenced again.

Well okay then. lol. I would have liked to leave the Fire at Mary Anne's house out of the series. I might read Claudia live from WSTO later.
