Do the kids in the BSC books ever eat macaroni & cheese, spagetti os or grilled cheese or soup? When I was a kid, these were the foods my friends, cousins, and I lived on. Not kids exactly, but don't Sam and Charlie have SpaghettiOs and Gatorade in Kristy's Great Idea? And Kristy has Twinkies and fried chicken?

Well, I would be really skeeved out at the idea of picking a bunch of sausage off my pizza and then eating it. All the meat 'juices' would still be on there, as well as the lingering taste. Yuck. (Although, since Dawn's only an actual vegetarian about half the time, you'd think she could have dealt with picking it off!) I just read Mary Anne's Makeover and there are some really good food descriptions in there. At the mall her and her dad eat burritos, enchiladas, and other Mexican food, and at home they order a ton of Chinese food. Of course, there's also a mention of Dawn "boiling tofu." Boiling? Couldn't she have been stir-frying it or something? Yeah, I hate supreme pizzas, and picking stuff off doesn't help because the taste is still there. And seriously, Dawn makes tofu sound gross, and it's not.

Yeah, most vegetarians I know wouldn't do that. When my sister was in her ultra-vegie stage she wouldn't even eat food cooked near meat.
I guess it's difficult for us carnivores to understand! ;D

In "Stacey's Ex-Boyfriend" the whole sub-plot is based on a strawberry farm (Strawberry Fields Forever - good on Ann for continuing to live in the past) and they had a big strawberry festival in true Kristy style. Oh, and there were also a couple of Jamie/Macaroni & Cheese incidnets with the strawberries involving Claire Pike and Linny Papadakis

I loved the pizza description in Kristy's great idea, it always makes me crave for pizza. Also the junkfood that Claudia eats. Hmm. Unfortunately, I can't take it as well as she does - some people do get some fat...
On the other subject, I'm a vegetarian myself and I would not eat something after I took the meat of. Eww. (sorry)

The food in Kristy at Bat sounded pretty good. Breakfast buffet, a choice between steak, salmon and chicken for dinner. All free. Well, other than the cost of the (extremely expensive, I'm sure) camp.

I remember in MA vs Logan, MA wanted to order a large rootbeer milkshake with a roastbeef sandwich, but Logan ordered for her. But man, what MA had in mind sounded good.
And has anyone read Harry Potter & Socerer's Stone? That really has good descriptions of food, I guess because they have slave labor to make it for them.

I fould junior mints in Big W today, and I was so excited. I was all "OMG, they had them in Kristy'd Big Day!" That's so not what I thought they'd be...I wasn't expecting chocolate on them.
