No baby Felder is mentioned, but we do know that it was a girl to be named Hope.

That was early to have an ultrasound. I thought they said that if it was a girl, it would be named Hope.

I don't think they specified what type of tests, but Mrs. Felder could have had an amnio.

That's true; my best friend's mother knew, in 1981, that she was having a girl. Then (characteristically of her) she panicked a few weeks before my friend was born, worrying that they were incorrect and all that pink stuff was going to be wrong.

I don't think they specified what type of tests, but Mrs. Felder could have had an amnio. amnios are so unnecessary and dangerous. I'd think that unless you knew for sure that you would abort if something was wrong, to not even bother.

In the little sister book Karen's Softball Mystery, Ms. Colman had her baby three months ago. Which was sometime between Karen's Dinosaur and Softball Mystery.
