^ Agree. ;D Another one that bothers me is Claudia Kishi, Middle School Dropout. After all, she doesn't really drop out, just gets sent back. Kristy and the Secret of Susan is another one that makes little sense, too, because I'm still not sure what Susan's secret is. Thinking of it, a lot of the titles don't make sense for the books or are pretty dumb. But I don't know that I could come up with better ones. Still, it might be fun to try. ;D

Wow, Claudia and the Death of Mimi gets a (posthumous?) award for Worst Title Ever. I think I'd have to agree. I didn't like Claudia and Mean Janine either. As a previous poster said, Claudia was really the mean one.

I read Kristy + Bart = ? as "Kristy plus Bart equals?" in my head. Like, "equals" is at a higher pitch than the rest of the title. Kind of dumb.

I agree about Truth about Stacey and the spoiler!titles like Stacey's Big Move. But Mary Anne + 2 Many Babies is also a horrible one. Stacey and the Mystery of Stoneybrook was the one about the dumb haunted house that never gets brought up again. There are about twenty other mysteries in Stoneybrook and that one gets the title. Claudia and the Genius of Elm Street makes me think of Freddie.

Agree that Middle School Dropout was a dumb one, as well as 2 Many Babies; it always bugged me that she got + 2 many babies and + too many boys.

I read it as Claudia's Freend Friend but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to. I agree that it's dumb.
I saw an order form at the back of an ealy book that lists Logan likes Mary Anne as Mary Anne Goes Steady. The resulting one is better.

^I read it as "Claudia's x friend" because the freend or whatever was crossed out. I was like, what, do they hate each other?

I always disliked the crossed out friend, too. The MA + 2 Many Babies also bothered me. It should have just been MA and Too Many Babies.

In the UK version, it was Mary Anne and Too Many Babies instead of Mary Anne and 2 Many Babies.

I hate Claudia's Freind Friend too (though I love the book). The title is just obnoxious and like we need more examples of Claudia being stupid? We already get it, thanks!

I think Kristy and the Walking Disaster should have been titled Kristy's Krushers instead....I mean, the book is really about forming the team, not just about Jackie.

^ Agree. I never liked the whole "walking disaster" thing anyway. The poor kid can't help it that he's a klutz. Maybe a better title would have been something like Kristy and the Disasterous Krushers or something to indicate how the whole team were like the "Bad News Bears." (That's what I always think of with this book ;D) Or something to the effect of "the little team that could" since they didn't give up - my favorite part of this book. ;D

^Yeah, it's actually a pretty good book (I was surprised, first time reading it a few weeks ago), but the whole time I kept flipping back to the cover to look at the title and thinking "it's just not right......it's not ALL ABOUT JACKIE!" Also.....the cover bugged me because I couldn't figure out who was who. Well, okay, Jackie was pretty obvious but there were like 3 blond girls who looked about the same.

I think that one was published before the mystery series began. If they had been started already, I think this one plus MA's Bad Luck Mystery would've been Mysteries, not just part of the regular series.
That one's better! Although maybe they didn't want Mary Anne to have "too many" of anything again, because there was already MA and Too Many Boys?

Kristy and the Dirty Diapers is another one I don't like. The UK title is 'Kristy and the Nasty Nappies'.
