^They, they totally knew Jessi for all of 5 minutes before they were like "sure, whatever." Oh, Poor Mallory, Don't Give Up. Someday you will be All New.

She does seem to have a lot of negatively named books. I never realised how stupid some of these titles were before. The spoiler ones bugged me, Jessi's Gold Medal, Welcome Back Stacey, etc, but it's true alot of them are stupid!

The Truth About Stacey -- This doesn't make any sense in the context of the book. We already knew about the diabetes. There is no big secret that is given up, however, I am pleased that they didn't call it "The Baby-Sitters vs. the Older Sitters" or something equally lame.

"Jessi and the Superbrat" bugged me as a title since Derek Masters turned out to be a nice kid. It should have been "Jessi Babysits a Movie Star."

Ok sorry I have to post again - "Kristy and the Vampires?" I saw this listed on Wikipedia as one of the Mysteries. Is this a real book? It sounds awesome.

^It's a real book, but ... no, it's not that awesome. Even for a mystery it's pretty unbelievable. It was recently blogged on the BSC Headquarters, if you are interested in that kind of thing.

Ok I just read the blog. Hilarious! Thanks! The cover alone would make me read this book.

I thought Jessi's Secret Language was a stupid title. It's not like she's the only one that knows about sign language.

I love the differences in the similar titles, like how Hello, Mallory sounds all cold and restrained and then all those books later you have the much more effusive Welcome to the BSC, Abby. No one welcomes Mallory!

*lol* Poor Mallory!
I've always thought 'Kristy Thomas, Dog Trainer' was pretty dumb. I mean, it'd hardly hook in a reader! It's so... uninspired, and definitely not something I would have picked up unless I was already into the BSC, or like, crazily obsessed with dogs.

I was reading through this thread, and this old post caught my eye: This made me laugh really hard because it's so true.Stacey's problem in #3: Kristy is forcing her to walk around in a sandwich board. Stacey's problem in #8: She is a ho. Stacey's problem in #13: She has to go back to Manhattan and go to school with Blair and Serena.
