Hello, I'm new to this forum I'm fifteen now and now as I look back, I can see that I have been influenced by BSC a LOT. And I did those things you did, too! - tried to hide candies all around the room (but failed because I spent my meager allowances all on beads and strings and stuff to make accessories on my own like Claud did.. : - tried baby-sitting myself (I live in Korea and here the notion of babysitting to earn money doesn't exist....) I started a sort of "business" (not a club because I did things alone) by teaching my six cousins English, but ended up making no money; My uncles and aunts thought I was doing it for my own pleasure. - tried to copy Claudia's outfits by 1. making accessories using beads, clay, feathers, shells... They were pretty sloppy but I actually wore them proudly 2. pursuing the "wild mix and match style" - started writing a secret journal because of Mallory - learned how to write cursive (that's a good thing, btw) - named myself Claire, and then later Gabbie, which stuck! now I'm officially Gabrielle. - thought it was unfair of my parents not to let me have my ears pierced

I posted about my Claudia clothes over on the BSC LJ, so I'm just going to cut and paste that, although a lot of you will have read it already: I made a bracelet last week, and it wasn't until I read this thread that I started thinking, Hmm, Claudia's influence...?

I still say "Oh my lord!"
I sometimes write like Stacey.
I holed up in my room from 5:30 to 6:00, writing in a journal and pretending to answer phone calls.
Sometimes I went outside with a doll, and I said, "Do you want to go to Polly's, Charlotte?"
I am in the process of copying all the BSC notebook entries into a binder with my Wacky Packs collection on it. I know I'm weird.
I walked around the mall with my invisible friend Stacey, and "we" walked into every store. The clerks must have thought I was mental!

I was seven. I begged and cried but my mother would not let me get this pair of suspenders that were totally Claudia-like. They were black with neon green, yellow, pink, and orange handprints on them. And then there was this big black piece that held the two straps together in the back, and it had one giant neon rainbow of a handprint. They were so cool. I would wear them if I found a pair like that today.

I don't say oh my lord regularly, but everytime it comes out, I do think of Claud.

I have an unhealthy obession with NYC
I thought I was diabetic everytime I was excessively thirsty
And thanks to Stacey vs The BSC I have a life long love of pineapple on pizza (which I didn't remember until I reread it. I always wondered where the hell that came from.)

^ I used to watch myself for diabetes symptoms all the time after I read "The Truth About Stacey." You wouldn't believe how many times I thought I had it!!!!

^^ Ahahaha, I did that, too! We had diabetes testing in the second or third grade, and I sort of secretly hoped I had it.

I sometimes tell my older sister to use her "indoor voice." She doesn't seem to get that it means she's freakin' loud.

Oh definitely! Any time I was thirsty it was... uh oh. Diabetes. Yeah I did that too. Actually that stopped after I met a kid with diabetes. It became a lot less fun when I realised that the kid sitting next to me in class could die. I used to sign my name as Mallory. I thought NYC was totally cool.

Oh I did the hearts thing, too...until one day in 5th grade I forgot to put my name on a test, and the teacher asked the class who had dotted their I's with hearts on their paper and I had to admit it was me as everyone laughed at me.
