But we all know that Stoneybrook parents don't like to get remotely involved in their kid's lives, so chances are, the Pikes didn't even know about it all Sometimes the kids didn't give their parents much choice, though. The BSC rarely went to their parents with problems!

Been going to mention this one for a while but forgot. Jessi thinking her mom is pregnant again when her parents say they have an announcement (Aunt C moving in) in Jessi's Babysitter.

Hahaha. That's a classic. Poor Jessi.
Claudia assuming that standing on her head would allow more blood to reach her brain and feed the brain cells, and therefore was a better option than studying. Ahh, Claudia.

Love that Claud assumption! Another one I just read was about the connection between bra size and touching your tongue to your nose. I know for a fact that this ability absolutely does not mean that you will have a bigger bra size as I can easily touch my tongue to my nose ;D

How 'bout in "Mary Anne Saves the Day," when she's eating alone every day because the BSC had that fight -- and when Dawn, who's just moved to town, questions her on it, she says, "All my friends are absent." LMAO! Did she really think someone would believe that? ;D

^ Didn't it say that Dawn thought that was weird, but didn't really question it because she was sodesperate for a new friend?

Yeah, I think she says that in Babysitters Remember.
What I found most lame was that she keeps telling Dawn all her friends were absent, like day after day. She was probably relieved Dawn kept quiet about it, but it probably made for some uncomfortable moments. I could understand on the first day because she's embarrassed, but why not fess up after that?

^ I never got why Mary Anne couldn't just tell the truth from the beginning. Plenty of people have fights with their friends; it's nothing to be embarrrassed about. I know she didn't want to talk about it, but I doubt dawn would have pushed for too much more information.

I just saw a headline saying a way to improve memory was standing on your head! I guess Claudia wasn't too far off - I couldn't believe it!

I wonder if, once Mary Anne had been saying for several days that all her friends were absent, Dawn just thought that Mary Anne had no friends at all.

It's certainly what I would have done so I always wondered why she didn't do it. Maybe she wanted Dawn to think she was friendly and likeable, and thought Dawn might perceive her as unlikeable or difficult if she said they were all in a huge fight-- leading Dawn to assume maybe MA had no other people who liked her that she could sit with. I always figured that was likely the case.

I would say how Mallory thought life would be so great when she was thirteen. I thought that too when I was younger and was sorely dissapointed to find out otherwise.

^ I just reread that line in Mallory and the Mystery Diary Two others that I recently found were the girls believing that Gozzie Kunka (Marilyn's pretend friend) was real and not catching on sooner (except for Mallory) that Derek Masters was the "Superbrat."

DEFINITELY Jessi thinking Aunt and Cecelia and that friend of hers were getting married, believing it was a surprise wedding and getting dressed up on the day with a wedding present for them ;D
