Do you ever read a BSC book and have moments when you see things in the book that used to make you genuinely laugh when you were a kid (and not in a snarkish way of laughing ). For example, in one of the books (I think it was Claudia and the Great Search), Dawn is babysitting for Kristy's siblings, while Kristy sits for the Papadakis kids and Dawn tells Kristy that she can come over with the kids when ever she wants and she says "Hey I'm inviting you to your own house!" and they both laugh.... very light humour and a highly corny statement from Dawn but I used to find that hillarious when I was a kid... do you ever come across things that used to amuse you a lot?

Oh yeah, I can't think of specific examples but that happens to me all the time with the books.

I liked it in European Vacation where Cokie says, " what is this? the BSC wet t-shirt contest?" And in the same book where Stacey asks, "what are people going to think?" And Kristy says, "my mom?"

Okay, I say this all the time, but I honestly think one of the funniest BSC moments has to be Alan Gray invading Claudia's junk food art show.

I think in Poor Mallory, Mrs. Pike was giving the kids a pep talk about sticking together and one of the triplets interrupted and started singing We Are the World. It made me laugh last time I read it because I pictured him weaving around like Stevie Wonder while he said it.

Richard Spier. Simpsons tank top and cutsey heart boxers. Practicing for the Underwear Race in Dawn's Big Move. Nuff said. ;D

^ Love that one ;D I think I find things that make me genuinely laugh more now than as a kid. Aloha Baby-Sitters had me laughing for an entire chapter. I also love the first chapter of Snowbound and know there are too many more examples than I can think of right now.

Thought of some of my favorites: Almost anything involving Alan and Kristy the Pikes and the bust enhancer in Stacey's Choice The farm animals chapter in Sea City Here We Come and Mal and Stacey's chapter when they are going to Sea City Claire bringing MA the butter in Boy Crazy Stacey The Pike kids with the eggs and Stacey's chapter with the Ginellis (sp?) in MA and 2 Many Babies Any Claudia dumb moments ("Farrow instead of Pharoh" is my favorite) The chapter with Elvira and the Newtons in Stacey's Big Crush Logan's "mutiny" in Starring This list could go on.... ;D I really needed this thread today, though

I just read "Kristy's Worst Idea" and found myself laughing through alot of it. Can't remember much now (due to being up all last night waiting for and then reading Harry Potter 7...) except Claudia referring to "Ancient Sanscript" but I know there where alot of funnier moments too...

^ I remember that one too ;D The other ones I just thought of are: Stacey playing bball in Little Liar Stacey and Claudia coaching the Krushers in Kristy and the Copycat Kristy's "song" about Bart in Kristy + Bart The BSC's "song" about Claud in Claudia and the New Girl the Pike sitting chapter in MA's Bad Luck Mystery where the bird get's loose and Logan's comment about "Old Hiccup" in that one

That always made me genuinely LOL when I was little.

Ok, in Dawn and Too Many Sitters there was this one part where Dawn says to Jeff "I'd like to JAB your JOKES to BITS." That part always made me cackle like a hyena when I was little, and now I'm embarrassed that I ever laughed at it, it's so lame.
