"Bust developer" hehehehe. Never gets old.
Thought Kristy and the Snobs made me all weepy, I did have to laugh when that one snobby kid is pondering what she'd say at her cat's funeral and she's like "And I'd say that she cost $400!"
I was really laughing hard when, in Logan's Story, King is making fun of the little Hobart boy for going "potty" and the kid says something like "But I don't 'go potty', I go like a big boy, I can show him myself!" The fact that he's so earnest about actually showing him makes me lol.
Can't remember the book, but in yet another talent show subplot I did like Jackie being the MC and being quite blunt about getting audience donations. Anyone remember which one this was?

Oh yeah, that's another moment I think is genuinely funny and kid-like. I really like Jackie.

Can't remember the book, but in yet another talent show subplot I did like Jackie being the MC and being quite blunt about getting audience donations. Anyone remember which one this was? ahaha yes. "YOU DID NOT HAVE TO PAY TO GET INTO THE NEWTON'S YARD." and kristy tells him to use common sense, and he says "kristy? sometimes i think i was born without common sense." also, sam's call to the BSC in kristy's big day is a classic one for me: "hello, this is marmee march. i need a sitter for amy, someone who has experience with little women." ;D also i could be imagining it, but i'm pretty sure that when claire inquires about the bird knowing santa claus, it ends with "claire said dreamily". the fact that she said it "dreamily" is hilarious to me. almost anything alan gray does.

"Dreamily" makes it sound like it was a stoned thought. Put down the bong, claire; you're only five. I know the pikes are liberal but that is taking it too far!

I'm reading SS 3 and never noticed all of the funny parts before. I especially love when Stacey is yelling at "Alan" while skiing. ;D There is a lot of other subtle humor as well but now I've forgotten the particular examples. ;D I'll look for them, though.

I love the Marmee March thing too, but who knows how he knew that?

Sometimes "Let's All Come In" can be quite funny - like in Jessi and the Awful Secret where it is needed to lighten things up. Also always love the Pikes in Little Miss Stoneybrook. ;D

I always loved it when Karen and her friends played "Let's All Come in" too. It was so funny . I wonder why that was never mentioned in LS, though .

^ It wasn't? Thinking of it, I guess I don't remember it in LS but it does sound fun. Maybe they only played it with other sitters ;D But that doesn't make sense, either, because Kristy sometimes sits in LS and they played it with her in BSC books....

True, I don't remember many references to Let's All Come In in Karen's books.

It's not like she decided she'd outgrown that when she skipped a grade, because she was playing it with Hannie (who's in the 2nd grade with her) and for that matter, she played Lovely Ladies with Amanda, who was at least a year older than Karen.

^ Karen is the same age in the LS books, anyway - 6 then 7.

In LS #4, the poster for their Kitty Cat Club says that Karen, Hannie, and Amanda are 6, 7, and 8. Karen turns 7 in I think LS book 7.
