From Mary Anne Saves The Day: Mary Anne's apology note to Kristy before she decided not to send it ;D:
Dear Kristy,
I’m sorry you’re the biggest, bossiest know-it-all in the world, but what can I do about it? Have you considered seeking professional help?

^ ;D That is a good one. MA can be funny in her own way, sometimes. Kristy in the one where Karen and Andrew wash Watson's car with steel wool (can't remember what book but it is one of the earlier ones I think) when the kids ask if they can paint the car: "When chickens have lips" For some reason, that really made me laugh when I read it the other day. I had forgotten about it until now.

^ I think it's in Boy-Crazy Stacey. I was thinking about it the other day, because my boyfriend said he'd never washed a car before and he wouldn't do it in case he did it wrong, and I said, "Even small children can wash cars without doing anything wrong. Oh, except for when Karen and Andrew scrubbed Watson's car with steel wool."

^ ;D You're right. It must be that one since I just read it. That's one of my favorites anyway with Claire and the butter for a sunburn ;D

He wasn't too upset, because he'd always wanted a purple car, and this gave him an excuse to paint his car.

Let's see....hard to remember exact quotes, but let's give it a go:
"I might as well come out and say it. I am one of the coolest kids at Stoneybrook Middle School. I know it sounds conceited, but everyone agrees it's true." --Claudia in "Claudia and the Bad Joke" (I got picked on by girls with that mentality so that just made Claudia the girl I'd love to hate)
"Hey, what are you guys? Elephants? Don't you ever forget anything?" --Claudia in "Mary Anne Saves the Day"

He wasn't too upset, because he'd always wanted a purple car, and this gave him an excuse to paint his car. The whole idea of Watson in a purple car is funny enough in itself ;D He did scold Kristy a little bit for leaving the kids alone but not as badly as I would have....

For some reason, it always cracked me up in #33 when Gabbie said she was going to make a green mess. I don't find it as funny now as I did then, but for whatever reason, it made me laugh out loud!

LOL @ the idea of Watson and a purple car. We already have Nannie with her Pink Clinker, what would poor Elizabeth think?
I can't ever remember a situation in which Watson got angry. He's so mild-mannered, it's almost too good to be true. ;D

^ ;D I can't remember him ever really getting very angry, either. Even when he scolds and gets annoyed, he tends not to lose his temper. Most BSC parents don't, really, though. Maybe that is a bit unrealistic.... Anyway, I found another one that made me laugh for some reason. "The Jig is Up," Karen says to the thief in Karen's Big City Mystery. ;D Reminded me of my little cousin who used to quote things from movies when he was 2 without knowing what they meant but actually use them fairly appropriately.

geez the BSC girls can be conceited at times, but calling yourself one of the coolest kids at school? That kind of takes the cake...

Stacey makes a similar comment in Stacey's Mistake, but I forget the wording. She does say something about "Kristy is a little immature. She even looks immature."

^ I think I need some of their self confidence sometimes ;D And does looking immature mean being small???

I think Claudia also said that she was one of the most awesome-looking kids in school. (In Keep Out, Claudia!). As for Kristy looking immature, I think that also has to do with the fact that she doesn't wear makeup or dress up like Stacey or Claudia. So naturally, in their eyes, she looks immature.
