There are so many funny parts in Sea City Here We Come – especially the ride to Sea City and the farm scene. The Sea City trips and group sitting jobs and camps always make me laugh but they were especially funny in this book.

I always thought the Ghost at Dawn's House was really funny, too, especially when Stacey and Dawn play that prank on the other girls. I always crack up at Claudia and the World's Cutest Baby at the beginning, when Claudia runs into the screen door by mistake and later when Alan Gray tests the echo of an alley by neighing like a horse. For some reason I think the latter is hilarious and always, without fail, laugh out loud when I read it.

^ Both of those are funny for me, too. I like Ghost in the scene when Dawn and Jeff are freaking out about the passage and piling up the furniture. Sharon must have been like "what in the world???" when she came home to that. ;D

I just read your post and at first I thought you were talking about the movie Ghost for some reason. Guess I just have Patrick Swayze on the brain lately. ;D

I hope he is able to recover. He used to buy his horses in a town about 30 minutes from where I grew up and sometimes my friends and I would go there to see if he was in town. We never did catch him though.

^ Boo and Bullfrogs. ;D I had totally forgotten about his wife's horses! Some girls in my 4h club got to meet him at the Arab Nationals one year. They came back with pictures and I was super jealous. ;D

Even though I don't like the book very much, I like a few of the scenes in Kristy in Charge. I can't stand Cary and would have choked him if I was Kristy but it does give me a funny image when he's leading the kids in jumping jacks and clowning around when Kristy's trying to be serious. ;D Also love it when the Pikes rebel against Vanessa's poetry school.

^ Mine too. ;D I just read Abby's Lucky Thirteen and the subplot had me laughing in several parts. The color war subplot also makes me laugh in some places (like when Jackie Rowdowsky gets whacked in the backside with the baseball - I think that's in that book ;D)

I thought that Kristy's Worst Idea was pretty funny. It has the line under my avatar in it - said by Claudia, of course - "Kristy, I am D - E - D. Dead." lol. And Kristy herself seemed to be making almost snarky comments as she was speaking. Even though I found it really sad when the club disbanded, I still thought it was pretty good.
Referencing my earlier post, I can't remember what book it was in - Mallory and the Dream Horse? I think they had a pet show in that one? Anyway, Buddy was there with Pow, and trying to get him to jump through a hoop, and Buddy hauls out a steak and puts it on the other side of the hoop. Pow just sticks his head through, grabs the steak, and lies down lazily chewing on it. I think Buddy and Suzi have to drag him off stage ;D this mental picture makes me laugh! ;D

The last time I read Here Come the Bridesmaids, I laughed through the entire thing. Now, I can't remember all that I laughed about. The Jeff chapters always stick out in my mind, because he's so snarky, but like... oh, Claudia buying flowers and pissing off the florist. That's entertainment. I can't remember all the other stuff that cracked me up so much. I'll have to pull it out again.
