Been long time, since I read this one. I dislike this book. I laugh when Kristy say hang the apples on the tree. Been better if they went to a farm & pick the apples from the tree. Who name their daughter Moon? nothing else to say. Since their really wasn't subplot in this one. (I don't think) Frank Zappa did

Punky Brewster's real middle name is Moon. The actress, I mean. It wasn't Penelope Moon Brewster.

^Sabrina's friend Jenny reminds me of Abby! I have to agreed that the storyline was a bore! But I do love the fact that the book is shiny. Word with everything you just said! I like the shininess. I always pick up this book thinking it's going to be funny, but it's not because the character's worst flaws are brought out to the point that it's grating. I think this is my least favorite BSC book.

She was also in Sabrina the Teenage Which TV series with Melissa Joan Hart! They're best friends in real life! Anyways, this book was quite the steaming pile. There were so many times that I wanted to somehow reach through the book and shake Kristy. She was so damned obnoxious and rigid. She was so out of line with Abby, who hadn't actually done anything wrong. It bummed me out how Mallory felt like she had to offer to give up the creative writing program to suit Kristy's tyrannical and pissy mood. When the club broke up and she was withdrawing from not having all this imaginary power, I didn't feel a bit sorry for her. I was also annoyed with Claudia. She forced the Barrett-Dewitt kids into this art project like she's some superior sitter who's figured out the thing that will solve the kids' problems, and then she accuses Mary Anne of doing just that when the group is trying to decide whether or not to reconcile. And the reconciliation felt a little rushed. Kristy spends half the book blaming herself for Jackie's injury, then suddenly realizes it wasn't her fault and she was totally qualified to babysit and boss other babysitters around.

All this Sabrina the Teenage Witch talk makes me think that Harvey was kinda how I pictured Logan. Nice enough, not that bright, not sure why he's such a catch that girls would be fighting over him. Libby fit perfectly as Cokie too. Now if only Tigger knew how to talk and be all snarky like Salem...

HAHA love it.
Yeah, Harvey did always remind me of Logan.

Lol, I thought Harvey was sweet. Maybe a little dumb, but still sweet. I bet Watson's old cat would be like Salem if he could talk... or maybe Salem could be the ghost cat.

Hehe, I loved Harvey! And Cokie is a total Libby! I could just see her looking at the BSC girls and saying, "Eww!"

Salem > Tigger
I am kind of a crazy cat lady, but I think Tigger sucks. Boo-Boo is much more like Salem.

I named my first cat Tigger, after Tigger...but I agree that he didn't really have that much personality (and I love animals!)

I loved Libby! But then, I think Cokie is kind of awesome in a superficial and bitchy way. She's probably the only realistic 13 year old in the series.
Oh my, the melodrama in this book. I felt sorry for Mal as outside Jessi and the BSC, she doesn't have many friends and to be honest, without the BSC actually meeting as a club, I can't see the others really hanging out with her apart from Jessi, obviously, maybe Mary Anne as she'd feel mean if not and maybe Stacey who lives near her and in general, always seemed much nicer to Mal than the others.
It was sad how Jackie had his accident, but I hate, hate, HATE how they all rush there dropping everything like it's an emergency. I'd have been seriously pissed off had I been his parents at the way they carried on. I'd have appreciated the gesture but would have asked them to come back later.
Kristy is a tyrant in this book. Was it Abby who pointed out that their clients couldn't see who was there and why did it matter if Jessi was excused?

Except the part where she got a nose job in #43. Pretty sure it's not even legal to do that to a 13 year old, unless he or she was in some sort of accident or something.
