Even though the house sounded cool, I would have hated to have actually lived in it. Dawn said that the ceilings were low and the rooms were pretty dim... I couldn't stand that (even though I am short!)... oh God remember in Mary Anne Saves the Day when Dawn filled her room with lots of light and she says, "I hope the wiring in this old place can take it." That's foreshadowingly creepy...

^ Agree about living there. It would have been a nice historical site to tour or something but I wouldn't want to live in an old, dark house, especially one with a ghost ;D

That's foreshadowingly creepy... Dawn burned her freaking house down. I knew she was evil. Haha, but seriously, that's probably the most ironic line of the whole series, and I'm almost sure they didn't plan it that way--14 years ahead of the fire!

Sorry to be OT, but did Ann write this book, or did someone "help her prepare this manuscript"?

"The author gratefully acknowledges Ellen Miles for her help in preparing this manuscript."

^ Wow. I am seriously disappointed in you, Ann! I know she's a busy woman and probably hadn't actually written a BSC book in years by the time this one came out, but you'd think she would want to write the last one. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, magentanation!

^No problem...that's what happens when I have a few hours to kill before work and an unhealthy obsession with checking this board for updates. ;D lol. But yeah, I totally agree that Ann should have at least written the last book. I am also disappointed in her.

She did write Graduation Day, if that makes you feel any better.

Agree that Ann should have written this one, or at least would have wanted to. Wonder if it would have been different if she had written it.

I wish Ann would have written the last one, in my opinion, it just seemed like it would have been the right thing to do.

^ I completely agree. Even with the FF series, you think she'd want to write the last BSC book in its original series.

growing up I didn't even realize that AMM hadnt' written a lot of the books... including this one. I saw the names in the dedications...but I just shrugged it off thinking they were some editoring friends or something... I was grateful to know that she wrote graduation day though..that would've been a huge disappointment!!!!!!!!!

^ I never realized AMM didn't write the books, either, until I came on here. Now I even notice differences between ghost writers. I didn't realize she wrote graduation day but I would have thought she could have written this one if she did that one.

I'm glad I am not the only one that didn't notice the ghostwriters until I was older. I never put two and two together I guess as a little kid.
