In just surprised that the detail took so long to show up in the books. Apparently Abby and Mary Anne are movie buffs too. I always got a feeling that Dawn was, at least in the early series. It's just weird that this book is written like Stacey always wanted to work in the movie industry. I can see her doing that, though.
I can totally see it for college... I guess Emily's seriousness seemed OTT to me, since I never knew anyone like her at that age. I guess it just felt cold to me that she said everyone already consented to being on film and didn't have a right to request it being taken off (can't remember how she worded it. It was something like that). It's like I get it and she was technically right, but at the same time, it's middle school and I can see how they'd be worried about their reputation. I see her point, I just don't agree. I think part of my problem is that she didn't provide a good interview herself.
In college, I would absolutely agree with her. Maybe for a junior/ senior in high school too.
Is 3 weeks point enough to make a short movie? The claymation one is still standing out to me as very ambitious. I forgot to say in my review that I actually really liked Stacey's original idea and thought it was really fun. They sort of just gave up immediately on it for some reason, and that bugged me.
