And another thing is that for something that is supposedly embarrassing to be a part of, the mathletes sure do get a decent amount of support and enthusiasm during their meets.

It's annoying that there's a stupid math mistake in the one book in the series that's all about math. On page 62, at the end of the match, they say that SMS has 61 points and that whoever answers the last problem correctly will win 5 points. SMS answers correctly, and then on the next page, they say that SMS gets the 5 points and they win with 67 points. How did they miss that? Math was my favorite and best subject growing up; I genuinely loved it. I majored in it in college, and I feel a lot of jealousy reading this book because my school never had any kind of Mathlete program, and I was (in complete seriousness) really upset that we didn't, as it was like the one thing I felt I did well at and I would have LOVED being in Mathletes. I enjoyed the math problems in this book and wish they had included more!

I was glad a math book came out too cause I was wishing for one before I gave up buying the series and was reading what I already had.

I think the same serial killer who wrote Stacey's farewell banner also wrote the name placards for the math competition:

Hahaha.
I was thinking of pulling out the math problems from this book and seeing if my students could answer them, but I think they're too young for them as I teach up to Grade 6.

^^ Good title. Should be a BSC mystery book. "Who's been writing on Stacey's book covers?"

I liked this one pretty well but admit to skipping over the math stuff - I read the BSC books to relax Of course, I had told my dad about the math stuff in it and after he finished Stacey's Choice (and loved the subplot) since I made him read at least one book by each sitter, I noticed that this book wasn't on my shelf. Dad had it and was reading it Last night, he was all thrilled to show me the solution to the last puzzle because he spent forever trying to figure them all out. It is pretty cool - anyone else get it? His other comments on the book were that Stacey is really smart and her dad is a jerk - I agree with both of those points Anyone else spend time trying to figure out the math stuff? Your dad sounds cool! Reading the BSC books... i pi can't seem to find this on the Amazon.com.au Kindle store

I wish we heard more about Stacey's NYC dinner at Cafe des Artistes! I always laugh when Leragnis calls lobsters "lobos" as if he's on buddy-buddy terms with them. Stacey was really burpy in Stacey and the Cheerleaders, also written by P.L., and in this one he has her burping up her leftover lobster too! Also, I always love Maureen's "peaches and plums" rant!

I love that whirlwind night Stacey, Ed, and Samantha have. Dinner, a Broadway show, jazz in the Village, a tour of NYU. It's sad for Maureen, who intended to make dinner for her and Stacey.
Haha, the burping is gross.
