Is the girl hanging on Logan on the French cover supposed to be Cokie? She looks really pretty, but in my head Cokie dresses like she does in the movie so this outfit is way too casual, haha.

I liked this one a lot more than I anticipated, considering I really disliked Logan in #41. I do think they should've waited longer to get back together, and as an adult, I'm reading his changes as more of an act than anything else. I'm a bit jaded, though, I guess.
In the last chapter, Mary Anne says that Cokie genuinely likes Logan (I agree), but that she didn't set out to hurt her. I totally disagree. Cokie 100% flaunted her and Logan's relationship in front of Mary Anne. I kind of don't like that Cokie was SUCH a ditz in this book... I don't recall her coming across that way in previous books. Like, if I was Cokie, I would've been panicking about Author Day and going to the group for help so I didn't make a fool of myself. She's also concerned about her image, so I really don't understand why she didn't.
I loved Pete in this book. I'm glad he and Mary Anne never dated to be honest. He'd already dated Stacey (and maybe Dawn and Claudia?), so I would rather his character be more developed than the sometimes boyfriend of several club members. Lol.
Would the principal really wait until 3 days before the project was due to announce that they'd have to do an oral presentation in front of the school? That talked preparation and Mary Anne isn't the only person who would fear public speaking. Seems wild to me. I think they should've gotten at least a week's notice.
Hated the subplot. Ugh. I miss the Delaneys. I also live in California where we're having a severe drought, so the chapter where they're constantly flushing the toilet just makes me cringe. What a waste of water! Also, the subplot doesn't relate to the main plot at all. Dumbbbbbb.
