Dawn shouldn't have had to scare MA out. It was Dawns room in the first place. MA overreacted at every little thing and from this book onwards Dawn looses her personality due to ghost writers coming into the series after book 31. MA was really uncharacteristic in the last two books. She's usually understanding and patient.

Jack was the same. It was because Sharon was a slob that the marriage didn't last.

Jack was the same. It was because Sharon was a slob that the marriage didn't last. Opposites attract? Richard didn't seem to mind Sharon being an absent-minded mess (though does that come up in Dawn's Family Feud? I didn't read that one) but it did get on Mary Anne's nerves sometimes.

Richard's tidiness could have been something she liked. Her life was a mess since the divorce and she probably welcomed some of his ideas about cleaning.
