^Replying to stuff on the previous page.
Wisconsin Republicans are trying to lower the alcohol serving age to 14. I think that just means that they could sell it if they were working a cash register. Not like there would be 14-year-old bartenders running around, lol. (This is WI though, so that's probably not completely unlikely someday.)

And another thing. Not sure about America but in Australia if you're a guest over for dinner (we don't celebrate Thanksgiving) they don't do the dishes. It's considered rude for asking them to. Maureen made a big deal over John not offering to help.

In the US it would still be rude to ask your guests to clean up, but it's also rude to allow the person who cooked do the cleaning too. It's something you're supposed to offer.
I love how much faith you have in Wisconsin to do the right thing, lol. If this is how things work up there I need to visit and see for myself.

It would be a red flag for me if I cooked for a guy and he sat there like a potato not offering to help with anything.
A little anecdote about my life: When I was 16 I worked at a gas station/video rental place that had a liquor section in it. This other 16-year-old girl and I were often the only two employees in the store due to bad management and supervisors who wouldn't show up for their shifts. It was the two of us illegally selling booze all summer. Her dad was a POLICE OFFICER for the city. That was my first lesson that laws only matter if someone wants to enforce them.
