^Lol, Greer. I didn't care for the cat-fights or a lot of the boy drama. Yes, I was always a MUCH quieter than Stacey boy-crazy young girl. I certainly never had a zillion boyfriends by the time I was 13. I've still never had a zillion boyfriends. I wish some of the BSC boy "drama" had been better done. Kristy and Bart I hated how the ghosties broke them up. I still don't buy the punishment or if the two were really that close to probably doing more than kissing, Elizabeth and Watson magically curtailed it without even a mention of their concerns. I am glad K and B didn't end up having sex, just saying it read like that's where it was headed. Mary and Logan, could have explored MA keeping in touch with Alex even as a friend. I wish she had turned to Logan even a tiny bit before "vs" happened. Same idea for the others.
Danielle, this might be mean, but I never liked her much. I felt worse for her brother Greg that was pushed aside. I would have loved a follow up to Marc, though from SS#1.
I am in the minority still but I really did like most of the BSC's "good deeds."

I guesss I'm not surprised that BSC readers wanted an update on Danielle? I don't know. I'm still thinking about that one. Maybe we're all just the bitchy snark board members, so we're different than "regular" BSC fans. Maybe many of the fans were like little Mary Annes? haha.

I wish Danielle had died in either one of the books, so I'm not sure what kind of fan that would make me!

I can picture a book in your honour. It would be called, "Sparklymouse, #1 Fan"

^It would be an instant BSC Board best-seller! It could be the ultimate fan guide because it would be written by none other than Sparklymouse. Of course, each of us could conceivably write a chapter (page or two) either describing our own Stoneybrook experience (fly on wall during a book/intervening during a book or even as I created a thread for once before a "deleted scene/5 more minutes). Remember the Pike triplets newspaper for Heritage Day or when Mary Anne's group was going to do a "tell-all" for their Shakespeare project? This book could be "our" great CT reveal. I think it could be fun if anyone wants to try.

I thought this part was funny:
Because, really, when have they ever (especially Kristy!) thought that the parents might know better than they do?

^ I think that might be the only time in the entire series that this kind of thing happened!

And, also, isn't it blatantly obvious that Danielle's mom would know her better than the BSC members? I guess the BSC have to keep reminding themselves?

Because, really, when have they ever (especially Kristy!) thought that the parents might know better than they do? kristy also reluctantly said the same thing about susan felder's parents, so maybe the parents only know better when the child has an illness.

I feel like this book is really only a filler for the Stacey vs. the bsc drama. It really had no other reason to be written IMO. The subplot was absolutely ridiculous along with the main plot just being dumb!! Oh well...

^ I can see what you mean. Apparently - according to Ann - so many readers were DYING to know what happened to Danielle so a second book featuring her was produced. I'd like to know who those kids are and if they weren't brown-nosing a bit, haha.

I'd still like to know if that's Scarlett Johannson on the cover as Danielle. If Kirsten Dunst could do it, why not Scarlett? She would have been the right age at the time!

^ I can see where you're coming from with the Scarlett J. thing. Although I don't think it's her because I don't think she'd be that skinny -- look at those peg legs!

I just finished this one. I was a little surprised by the car scene, and how Jessi didn't get in even a little trouble for not watching the girls more closely. That was too many kids for her to be keeping track of, anyway - four girls and Greg. Isn't there a BSC rule of two sitters if there are more than four kids? It's not really fair that a bunch of the charges' friends come over when the sitters are only getting paid to watch a couple kids. It happens in pretty much every BSC book. Though I guess if the BSC had a problem with all the extra kids, they wouldn't keep letting it happen. :/
I liked when Jessi's dad showed up at the hospital and said "Jessi. It's me. Daddy" and she flew at him in tears. They seem to have a close relationship and I've always enjoyed reading about it. They probably have lots of bonding time during all those car rides home from ballet.
Lots of foreshadowing of Stacey vs. the BSC. I'd never read this one before, so I didn't realize that she'd already been skipping out of her jobs so much and showing up late for meetings.
Didn't care for the Aunt Cecelia subplot. I did like that Aunt C has a suit she calls "Old Reliable", though. I found it kind of funny for some reason!

^ Maybe it's funny because, in away, Cecelia is Old Reliable herself!
