I really like this one. I often feel overwhelmed and conflicted with whether I am being too self-centered like Mary Anne does. Logan reminded me so much like my own boyfriend in this book it was insane. All of his lines but 'decent' were things my boyfriend might say. Of course we are way older than Mary Anne and Logan but their 'wholesome' relationship reminded me of my own. I also really liked the sub-plot. I thought the friendship quilt was so sweet and it made me want to learn to sew so much!

I don't like the cover on this one either but just because I don't think it's a very great picture of MA. I'm actually glad that the plot was what it was instead of like Super Sitter, like Greer pointed out. Like Sarish, I can relate to MA in this one and think it's harder to say no because of guilt to an old, lonely woman than a charge's mother. (money brings a whole other element into it but that wasn't the issue in this one). I love reading this book when I'm feeling overwhelmed and guilty about it.

I haven't read Stacey McGill, Super Sitter, but wasn't Dawn being taken advantage of in "Dawn and the Impossible Three"? ... Way to recycle plots there.

I just read this for the first time. Few things:
The twins on the front look nothing like the twins from Trouble with Twins, or each other for that matter.
I caught the Logan and MA when MA was narrating too.
I also was shocked Stacey missed a meeting due to sitting.
The Dawn references to California were everywhere, which was good because it lead in to the next book.
I felt really bad for Mrs Towne.
I liked how the Triplets told Nicky they weren't sissy for baking.

I have 2 copies of Maid Mary Anne: One in English and the other in French. Not a bad book.

Here i thought it would be a big BSC client taking advantage of her and its not. I thought so too. I still liked this book though. ;D I don't like the cover on this one either but just because I don't think it's a very great picture of MA. Why? I liked her pic on this book cover.

^Me too. I think Mary Anne looks really pretty. The twins don't look like the twins on Mallory and the Trouble with Twins though, but they are cute too. Plus, the scene on the cover actually happened in the book!

^ Agree that the picture was very representative of the scene. I just don't care for MA with short hair (like short hair on some women - just not MA) and for some reason, this reminded me of a picture from a WWII poster or something. ;D I didn't notice the twins, though, or realize that's who it was. I'll have to check them out. I really like this book and save it for when I'm feeling overwhelmed because I can relate....

^ I think the rag on her head is what does it. Also, her expression. ;D

I actually think Mary Anne looks pretty cute here. I don't like the push down socks, and the way the rag is positioned is odd -- but I think the hair cut is pretty cute on her. I like it better then the one on #60. The twins don't look much like I pictured them, but that's to be expected. I don't mind her putting the rag on her hair -- I do that when I clean, don't know why, probably because I grew up with i love lucy or something. I don't tie it like that though She does look a little out of WWII, actually. I didn't like Logan very much in this book, if I remember correctly.

^ I think Greer mentioned that his humor is pretty corny in this one. I don't remember minding him but haven't read it for a while. I usually like him anyway. ;D

^I also usually like Logan. He is corny in this one. HAHA! I also prefer Mary Anne with long hair and this is really the only picture of her with short hair that I like.
