Awww, macca, you're getting me all warm and fuzzy! After being on TWoP, where we had to try to form opinions about the TV show to keep talking about the books, this place is such a relief!

Poor Henrietta Hayes. Being stalked and insulted by an 11 year old girl. Mallory really should stop meeting authors; it never turns out well. Go Ranessa!
Heh, seriously though, I thought the original play was funnier. "With wit so quick, and heart so kind, surpassed by only your brilliant mind" indeed. Whoever said Mallory had low self-esteem?
The dedication at the end should totally have said "The author gratefully acknowledges Mallory Pike for her help in preparing this manuscript."

Yeah, she either stands there like a stunned mullet with tears rolling down her cheeks or accuses them of lying for being untruthful in uh... fiction books.

^^^ To be fair, when I met AMM, I just, like, squeaked a greeting and stood there for ninety seconds until the person behind me in line shoved me aside.

^ It makes for hilarious reading, but unfortunately the mods are ridiculously strict and if you discuss the books too much (as opposed to the TV show) you are reprimanded.

229 pages, though, wow. Yeah, it was a great thread before we had to veer around the TV show for posting ideas. And then the regulars didn't come around as often and we stopped bumping it. I remember first discovering it and being absolutely delighted. The first ten or so pages had me LMAO...good times!

^ The TWoP forum was what rekindled my love for BSC. I was so excited to see it as well.

I love the TWoP pages...I spend, like, a week non-stop sitting there going through the whole thing, and copying and pasting all of the stuff that I found hilarious...then my computer crashed and I haven't had the energy to do it all again. I should, some of the things on there are GOLD.

^ I just found it so amazing that all the things I'd noticed over the years - Mal's love of sparkles and the stupid nit-picking feminism for example - were all discussed and acknowledged here. I didn't realise everyone else picked up the same things in these books that I had!

I miss this place Stupid uni. I know how you feel. At the moment, I'm working full-time and taking a course a couple evenings a week. I can't wait until next week, when this course is over. Then I have another one in July, but...
