I liked reading about Claudia and Erica working at the library more than Claudia/Alan. The mural did sound very cool. The handprints thing was cute but weren't they right below the mural? That would look odd. Erica looking for her adoptive parents was interesting, Claudia even recommended that Lois Lowry book to her ;D
I've really come to like FF over the years.

I liked that they brought up the fact that Kristy and Alan went to a dance together, and that Dawn was so amused by that. It was cool that the second to last book in a 200+ book series references something that happened all the way back in the second book in the series. I liked hearing Mrs. Kishi say she would like to write but doesn't have the talent for it, as it seems to be one of the few times we actually find out something personal about her.

I also liked when we read that Mrs. Kishi has a license to teach in Connecticut.

This one was okay. It falls in the middle of the Claudia FFs for me.
I felt like Claudia and Alan were a good match in her last book, but I'm having second thoughts in this one. He's basically walking on eggshells around the BSC, and at one point, Claudia admits (in text) that she's not sure which Alan she prefers. Keeping him a secret isn't exactly great either...
The library job was OK. I wish I cared about it more. It was good to see Erica again, but other than that, I was neutral towards this. I did like Claudia and her mom's heart to heart, and think it's really cool that her mom wanted to be a writer. That conversation was definitely the highlight of the book.
The mini golf group date thing was fun to read about. I see where people get the Mary Anne and Cary pairing. They definitely shouldn't have paired Kristy with Alan, though.
I don't have much to say about this one for some reason. I just feel so neutral towards it for the most part. It gets a 5.
