... I really like the part where Stacey actually wonders if it is possible for a 13 year old to have some many exs. It seems like Friends Forever is full of these little digs at the series that the editors just didn't change.

I think if more of Stacey's ex's were thrown in, it would've been even more amusing.

Pgs 71-72
Hee. As always, Go Claudia! Although from what I've read, Jeremy was so not worth fighting over. I got the impression that he went after Stacey cause he thought she was hotter than Claudia, but Stacey turned out to be a jealous clingy mess that he wasn't expecting.
I can't believe she still kissed Toby goodbye after a full day of "only wanting him to leave, so I could get on with my life".

Agreed Sparklymouse - gross about kissing Toby. I loved the description of him though as a total tool. I love how he's like - sorry we didn't get to do anything and Stacey wondering what he thought they were going to do.....I believe that I know his dirty mind.
That is my favorite line form this book about the math and boyfriends. I do wish Jeremy ended up alone and sad b/c I really didn't like him at all!

Yeah, Jeremy was a bore. I love that Toby has never redeemed himself Mr. Zizmore always sounded like a cool teacher. Sad that he moved but the party sounded nice.

Was this the one where Stace and Sam were supposedly "seeing other people" but then... were still in a relationship, or something? Because really, Ann and ghosties, that doesn't happen at thirteen.
I thought this book would have FF#2 levels of drama, but it was pretty boring. The party was cute, though.

^I believe that happened with Robert during Aloha, Baby-sitters'. As for this book, I haven't read it or any of the other FF's in ages and maybe only two or three times at most. I am not a fan of the BSC Friends Forever books--I prefer the BSC

I just finish this book. It was okay. I'm not fan of friends forever. It's mini drama for teenagers.

I liked the part where Stacey, Kristy, and Mary Anne go to the mall to pick out furnishings for Mary Anne's new bedroom. I like how even now, all the way into the Friends Forever series, they still mention that Mary Anne's favorite colors are navy blue and yellow, which was mentioned all the way back in, what, book 4? (Even though I still think that's like the ugliest combination of two colors you could pick.)

I just finish this book. It was okay. I'm not fan of friends forever. It's mini drama for teenagers. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I miss Mallory. I'm really starting to hate Stacey even more now than I ever did. I hate this series but I'm still reading it. LOL. Just finished this book and so hate Stacey. Grrr. Did I mention that I hate Stacey?

The shopping spree had to be my favorite part. The drama was entertaining but boring after awhile.

This is a guilty pleasure book for me. It reads like a bad fanfic, but it's entertaining.
This review is going to just be me pointing out weird stuff because this whole book is basically that.
Claudia was right... Stacey really is a New York snob. She comments on how glamorous the diners are in a restaurant in comparison to diners in Stoneybrook. First of all, they're in a French restaurant, probably on the fancy side, so people ARE going to be more dressed up. Second of all, shut up Stacey.
Stacey also comments on how every New Yorker knows you have to check the peephole on the door before opening it in New York. I've done that my whole life in my (admittedly) boring Central Valley city. Does that make me sophisticated? No, it just means I live in a high crime area and no one trusts each other.
I'm sad that Mr. Zizmore is leaving. Idk, I just feel like it's an unnecessary plot point. But I did feel the students' disappointment much more than in the previous one since he's an established character. Also, Stacey recommends that he stay in Stoneybrook and fly back and forth to Houston. That is an absurd suggestion. First of all, that's ridiculously expensive (although since Ed McGill is her father, she might not realize they not everybody is loaded). Second of all, it's impractical. Not everyone wants a long-distance relationship. She might have just been desperate for him to stay, but still!
Apparently, the BSC all sit together during lunch, but Claudia and Stacey don't talk to each other. How awkward. Their fight is making the entire friend group miserable. But I suppose that's actually accurate for middle school or even high school (okay, to be honest, for adults too).
Kristy still thinks Mary Anne shouldn't have broken up with Logan. I still think this feels so, so OOC. She even says that Mary Anne not having to worry about Logan's input and just worry about herself sounds selfish. Wtf Kristy?
I know this has been quoted before, but I'm putting it here anyway: “I suppose it has a use for you. It helps you keep track of all your old boyfriends,” she snapped back at me." (Claudia commenting on Stacey's love of math). That's a pretty sick burn.
An absurd quote from Kristy (regarding Kristy saying she thinks Sam is in love with him again): “Sam doesn’t fall in love through his ears,” Kristy said. “He falls in love with what he sees. And you looked good to him yesterday.” I had to read this 3 times because it didn't seem like something Kristy, or a 13 year old in general, would say. Wtf Kristy.
I hate Jeremy. He is so boring. Claudia talks about how he's done all these cool, interesting things, but he just acts like a dud on his date with Stacey and just seems so sulky. Of all of Stacey's boyfriends, he is definitely my least favorite and they had the least amount of chemistry.
They break up in this book and Stacey isn't upset at all. Really, THIS is the guy that she chose over her friendship with Claudia? And now he wants to date Claudia... what the heck.
I guess I should comment on the actual plot. It's mostly just absurd. I can't decide if Wes becoming the new math teacher (also interesting that Pete said he was a boring teacher. Hmm) or Toby dropping by was the most absurd part. And he's also a tool (Stacey kissed him because "what the heck." Seriously?) I liked Ethan reappearing, and of all the people who are described as "cool," Ethan actually comes across that way. He's definitely my favorite of all her boyfriends. Also, right in the beginning of the book, you can tell Stacey still has feelings for him. It feels like it's implied that they get back together.
Robert and Sam being at the party was fine. More believable. I like that Sam didn't make Stacey feel awkward like most of the other guys did. He just said her dress was nice and that was it.
Jeremy realizing that all her exes have more in common with her was pretty telling. Their relationship seemed kind of uncomfortable the whole time, like they're both possessive but not actually that interested in each other. Again, THIS is the guy Stacey and Claud are fighting over?! Really?! He's such a dud!
I decided I don't like Rachel. She basically tries to add to the stupid love triangle by saying Stacey should be suspicious of Claudia and Jeremy. Not helping.
Weirdly, I expected this to be more dramatic than it was. I think Stacey built up the drama in her head. You know what, though? That is actually so relatable. I freak out and hurt my own feelings all the time, thinking everything is going to be an emergency, when really it's fine.
Stacey and Claudia make up in this one. I didn't expect that. I feel like it won't last, though, and they aren't back to normal yet. I give Stacey props for being the one to try, though.
I don't know how to rate this one. It's not "good." Kristy Power! was technically better written, but this one was more entertaining because of the absurdity. I guess I'd give it a 6.

Ethan is also my favorite of Stacey's boyfriends. Everyone else seems so childlike in comparison, even Sam. Ethan was just really chill and unproblematic.
